Sebastian couldn't help scoffing inwardly. "How is it unlucky, sir?" Sebastian asked, smiling. "It will bring murder upon you!" the old man said with a straight face. If Sebastian hadn't figured out what the old man was up to, he might have fallen for the lie. However, a fortune teller could not detect minor events in the world, no matter how skilled they were. Fortune telling was about destiny, and about the overall luck of the person involved. It was not about a clear-cut connection between certain events.

Dear god, what the fuck are we doing? Whatever it was, Ember seemed to be enjoying it. Her lips pulled into a smile. “If your next line is I’ll show you mine if you show me yours, I’m going to laugh my head off. Fair warning.” I snapped my fingers. “Damn, you got me. How about I show you yours, and you show me mine?” “I’m sure you’ve seen plenty of yours.” Her smile grew wider. Damn if she was wrong though, especially these days. Boreis just started at him. "Good fortune?" He asked dumbfounded. The God of Fortune just shrugged his shoulder again. Downing one more drink he said mockingly. "Everyone seems to forget that Im not the God of Fortune. I can't tell the future. I'm the God of Good Fortune. Im lucky, not a fortune teller. I guess Gods forget that since Mazaya thought my name would be better without the good in it." He looked at the actual God of Fortune and smiled.

“What in Luna’s name do you think you’re doing?” Before any of us could answer, the fortune teller quickly pulled a small pouch from her pocket and began scurrying around the room, sprinkling what looked like salt under the doors and windows. We could only stand there, dumbfounded, as she did… whatever it was what she was doing. “What are you doing?” I demanded, finally finding my voice. “Who are you, really?” The fortune teller turned to face us, her eyes blazing with fury. “I am Madame Zara,” she declared, planting her weathered hands on her hips. “And I demand you all stop doing whatever you’re doing this instant—before you go and spoil all of my hard work.”

“Hey! Ignore her. She’s just annoying.” He could feel his heartbeat racing in his chest. “You shouldn’t be mean to family.” “So, haven’t you heard? I’m a fortune teller? A gypsy? A shaman.” He chuckled earing her call herself a fortune teller. He had heard the rumors but chose to ignore them. “If I can’t see it, I don’t believe it. Why tell me you’re a fortune teller?” “Because I knew this was too good to be true. You’re calling to cancel, aren’t you?”

"I'm like so sure that's not the beginning but fine. Let's hear it. Why did your aunt kick you out again." It was Charlotte's turn to sigh. "Guess." "Is that possible though? Your aunt is so unpredictable and crazy sometimes but uh... A man?" "How did you get it?" "I'm right? Well I am psychic so..." Mia bragged. Charlotte rolled her eyes. She rolled onto her stomach and pulled her phone closer. "But what happened? And since when did you have a man? Do you have a man?" Charlotte twirled her hair round her fingers and kicked her legs playfully in the air with a silly smile on my face.

Gigi Pov There were already many people in the town when Cindy and I arrived. And as she said, different groups of performers are performing on the road. Some do magic, some do circus, some do sword dance, and some do fortune telling just like fortune tellers in the real world. All groups have their own audience. It's funny. Somehow I forget my problem. "Let's do fortune telling, Gigi," before I could say no to Cindy she quickly pulled me into the small tent where the fortune teller was. So there was nothing I could do but to come along with her though I don't believe in fortune telling.

Taylor POV She had appeared, seemingly from nowhere, perched on a barstool at the end of the bar. My amulet had suddenly become hot against my shin and I knew she was supernatural. I ducked down, pretending to situate something under the bar, so I could peak inside my top and see what I was dealing with. I furrowed my brow in confusion. My amulet was red, it was never red. Black meant vamp, golden yellow meant were, white meant fae, occasionally it would be a mix of those colors signifying a hybrid. I took a deep breath to steady myself and stood, making my way to her.

Spinning the mug to keep me occupied. “Why hello George,” Frederick says, “It must have been a few decades at least since I last saw you.” “Yes. Yes. Oh, my old friend, how are you? Are you planning a trip with your granddaughter?” George inquires. Frederick cleared his throat. “Yes. My granddaughter is just tapping into her powers, and I’m eager to show her the immense power of visions. I promised her a trip to America before she comes of age. Looks like she wants to go to a place called Summer Hill.” Frederick tells George. “If that is where my girl wants to go. That’s where I will take her.”
