In Love with the Boss' Son

In Love with the Boss' Son

Mia asked. Doris looked at me like she wasn’t sure what to say or if it would be okay to continue. I hadn’t told Mia anything about Cathy’s parents, so I nodded at Doris that it would be okay to explain. "Foster is when someone takes care of a kid after their parents die or go away," Doris said. "Like Uncle Nathan?" Mia asked. "Because you were gone, and Daddy’s always away?" My heart cracked. "I’m not always away," I said sharply.

Hybrid: Supernatural Bad Boys I

“We’re you’re new brothers, fucker. And if you would calm the fuck down, you’d let us explain how great your life is going to be now that you’re going home with us.” The boy sniffs incredulously. However, I can tell that he’s intrigued. I guess it’s easier to accept the information from other kids than from adults. “So, listen and listen well. This is Rowan and Alex.” I point to them, then to myself. “And I’m Mikhail. I know that you’re a little scared right now, but there’s no reason to be. Alex is a great foster dad, and you’ll have a better time in our house than you will in a group home. Trust me, we know.” I point to a nodding Rowan.

Alpha's Regret:Too Late to Love Me

Alpha's Regret:Too Late to Love Me

The gesture might have seemed respectful if I hadn't recognized it as the same manipulative tactic he'd used countless times before. "Felix, buddy," Alpha Foster said, his voice thick with emotion. "I've missed you so much. How are you feeling? Are they taking good care of you?" Felix stared at him with an expression far too old for his young face."Why are you here?" Felix asked bluntly. "I came to bring you home," Alpha Foster replied, reaching for Felix's hand. "Both of you. Where you belong." Felix pulled his hand away before Alpha Foster could touch him. "I am home. With Mom and Alexander."

Lost in the Forest of Clouds

Lost in the Forest of Clouds

Foster stood with a whip in his hand, his face livid. “I think we’ve spoiled you too much!” Mr. Foster roared. “Do you even understand who Allen is? Do you know the status of the Luther family? And yet, you dared to provoke him!” Most of the Foster family’s businesses were abroad, so Mr. Foster had spent much of his time overseas, leaving Mrs. Foster to manage domestic affairs. It was only this year that he shifted his focus back home. Hearing about the chaos his daughters had caused over the years was almost too much for him. He felt his vision darken.

Devil’s Saints: Taz

“Use a diaper bag, put your schoolbooks in it, put a spare work shirt in it. Make it less like you’re ready to run. I get it. It’s a comfort for you. But they are going to look at your history, and how many times you moved.” “Family pictures. Knick knacks. A lot of my foster kids don’t have anything. I tell them to find things that remind them of happy moments. You said that your dad was stationed in Japan?” Rye nodded at her question. “Find a pagoda, a Buddha. Call your cousin in Florida and see if he has any pictures. And you.” She looked at Chance. “Quit sleeping on the couch. In fact, unless you’re going to make it more permanent, quit sleeping here.”

The Mafia King's Scarred Posession

The Mafia King's Scarred Posession

Foster's phone number, which gave us no chance to confirm whether he still lived in the place I'd found. “If he's not there, we can at least talk to the neighbors and ask if anyone knows where he is now,” Grey reasoned. I forced myself to smile and nodded, knowing he was right. And yet, my restlessness didn't go away. I had an odd feeling that we might have come too late… Robert Foster lived in North Stamford, in a rather inconspicuous house, much more humble than the grand mansions surrounding it. An old pickup truck was parked on the driveway, and the lawn outside the house seemed freshly watered.

“Thank you.” With that, we continued our walk. “Looks like you’re already winning over the pack,” Alisha noted, amusement in her voice. I exhaled slowly. “I hope so.” Alisha bumped my shoulder lightly. “You are. They love you, Jess. Give it time.” I offered a small smile. Maybe she was right. As we reached the edge of the pack’s residential area, I spotted the large, welcoming building of the foster home in the distance. It stood tall and sturdy, the laughter of children echoing from the courtyard making my heart warm.

Conflicted

Conflicted

Jax yells and wraps Rosy up in his arms. His eyes inspect his mate and I can't help but smile. I decide it is best if Rosy explains the mindlink to her other half, so I stand up and head to the restroom. I love Rosy's little cabin. It is quaint and homey. Being foster kids our whole lives really made us appreciate the feeling of home. Rosy and I had always talked about what it would be like to be adopted and to have a home. In our fantasy we were always adopted together of course. We always said a home wouldn't be a home if it didn't have both of us.

I was worried I was not going to like the book and while a lot of the beginning was cringy lol, I pushed through and glad I did! It was a captivating read even with the auctions and shitty people but as the story progressed, I couldn't put the book down! I'd happily read more of the authors stories.
Mona
Soo good! I fell in love with the characters and couldn't put it down! <3 I loved the way the characters had evolved from the first time you meet them to the end. Also, one of the characters, her name is Hilda, reminded me so much of Aveline from Dragon Age 2. *cough*Hilda needs her own book*cough*

Color Me, Black

Color Me, Black

“What do you mean?” “I contacted the foster home. They said there’s a clog in the government funding pipeline with the rising levels of abandoned and orphaned children.” Sebastian speaks, then crouches down. “Why don’t you two go down to meet Grover. We can get cake and ice cream then, yes?” He says and both Caleb and Cairo nods excitedly. “Be careful!” Cali calls after them and turns to face Sebastian. “Ok, so how do you plan on helping. Don’t tell me you’re willing to adopt them, because that means giving this excessively big, and very nice bachelor pad up.”
