JOHN The forest was dark as ink as I came through the portal. I'd opened it right on the edge of the camp I'd spent many summers at when I was younger. The trees swayed and I saw a few cats playing with each other. "Yeah?" He said, his voice muffled as well. "Wait till you see the actual place." And we were silent for a while until I saw a sign. "Hot air balloon festival? You're taking me on an air hot air balloon?" "Yeah." Brayden laughed as he slowed the bike down. "Pretty cool, huh?" And we stopped in what seems like a field. The balloons were huge with variety of colors. I was so amused and amazed that Brayden would actually do something like this for me.

When there wasn’t a problem that couldn’t be solved with a few shots of liquor. I pulled in a deep breath, savoring the fresh mountain air. I raced through the forest, enjoying every moment from listening far off in the distance to the birds in the trees, to hearing the deer racing through the trails near the river.

After I left, I wanted nothing more to do with Nancy. However, she refused to disappear from my life. She somehow found my new address and bought the house next door. Every time I stepped outside, I ran into her. Eventually, I had had enough. After discussing it with Mindy, I decided to move the company's operations to Avalon City. Summer’s warmth encouraged play, exploration, and quiet contemplation. Autumn painted the trees in fiery hues, reflecting the intensity and passion of the lives Adrian and Elena had built together.
