Marcus said cheerfully, not moving an inch away from me.
Alpha Magnus studied us for a moment, then shrugged. “As long as everyone’s happy and no one’s causing drama, I don’t care if you want to exist in each other’s pockets.”
“Speaking of drama,” Darius said, his expression growing serious, “we need to talk about the jewelry box incident.”
“Later,” Alpha Magnus said firmly. “Right now, I need volunteers for the post-festival cleanup. The sacred grove looks like a hurricane hit it.”
“We’ll do it,” I said quickly, grateful for an excuse to avoid the Jadis conversation.
