Lucius groned in pain. "Let g- go of him, pl-please" Mariana stuttered as she struggled to speak. Lucius wanted to scream at Mariana to run but he didn't even find the strength to scream. I stead, it came out as choking words. "R— run. . .run. . ." Lucius managed as he gurgled out blood. The wolf locked his gaze with Lucius and Lucius saw his eyes begin to glow a shard crimson again. The more he stared, the more he began to feel something happening within his head.

Chapter 65 Lucien POV… I left the basement and returned to the master bedroom. Camila was still sleeping and Liam was trying to draw her blood. “That won’t help!” I spoke. When I saw such a long needle pierce her frail arm, I felt like it was my heart being pierced. “Have you found out anything?” Liam asked and shiny light flashed across his face. He could not hide the expectation on his face. “Things are a lot more complicated than I thought but I think that you have found yourself a test subject!” I said and I saw him frown.

I turned around, and it was Luca. "Sorry I didn't knock," he said, realising he had scared me. He gave me an envelope. I took it and felt a card in it. "I had my beta open an account for you. Use the card to get money from the atm or shop anywhere. There is no limit on it but be wise about it," he said, smiling at me. He pulled me in a hug, and I felt him take in my scent. It was awkward. I could feel his reluctance to leave, but I did not say anything. I could be reading it all wrong. I breathed a bit, and he scented Hazel and Sandalwood. What were the odds he would smell the same as the field Declan took me to in my dream?
