My little Fox- The Heir

My little Fox- The Heir

Both fell on the ground, one on top of the other, back in their empty classroom( since everybody was still at the grounds). “ So, you are actually a fox, ” Merindale exclaimed, brushing the dirt off her skirt with her hand. “ Not just any fox, a fox royal. That's interesting. ” “Are you alright? I'm sorry. I have no idea what I was doing. I just wanted to get you out of there. ” Akata exclaimed looking at Merindale, worried. He tried to get the dirt off her shoulder but his advance made her take a step back. However, she was obstructed by the presence of a wall. She was sandwiched between the wall and Akata.

Alpha King's Caged Mate

Alpha King's Caged Mate

I was contemplating what to do when I shifted positions and stepped on a floorboard that sounded strange. I frowned and then knelt and moved the carpet aside. There was a loose plank and I had an instinct that told me to pry it up and search within. So, I did just that. I carefully pulled the plank up, slowly moving to avoid making too much noise. Within the cavity, I found a small book with no title or markings on the cover. As I flipped through the pages, I quickly realized it was the evidence Steven had mentioned. The book recorded the amount of minerals transported to the Fox’s land. It was an impressive amount, but what shocked me even more was that the Foxes weren’t just smuggling mine

My wife whose very presence was all over my room as she slept heavely and soundly on my bed, and under my sheets. Images of her swaying body, tender touch, and beautiful laughter were haunting me in a maze that had no entry nor and exite. Years ago, before the black dust of evil had been lifted off the chests of the heathens, there had been a time when the world was led and ruled only by magic, chants, and spells. Nothing from that era of time had made it alive to this time but some enchanting books that were kept hidden, people would teach their little children at a tender age the arts of magic, the children would grow to form a group named the Fiathful whose life they would provide for the

The Rise of a Master: It Starts With Rejection

The Rise of a Master: It Starts With Rejection

Billy was clearly in too much of a hurry. He blurted out, "It's a coincidence! Pure coincidence! Here—I'm not gonna take advantage of you for nothing. Take this book and study it. It'll give you a solid foundation in soul-related knowledge." With that, Billy tossed a worn, coverless book onto the table and bolted like a madman, as if the Phaeron Codex might vanish if he did not get there in time. Felix still had his doubts, but his curiosity shifted toward the book. He sat down, opened it, and began reading.

Called by Fire

Called by Fire

Lady Cassie had must have smuggled the book inside her already large pile, because it was far from the magical beings’ catalogs Bree was looking for at first. There, she found a section on fire creature’s techniques and a particularly promising chapter about weaponizing the phoenix rebirthing process. It explained in less details than she expected that it could be done by extending the fire halo, but it consumed the inner fire. The next couple of sentences set Bree of to a hyperventilating predicament, and her hands shook so badly the book fell on the ground.

Into His Darkness

Into His Darkness

“Well, literally, the woman led astray. It’s based on Alexander Dumas’s book, La Dame aux Camelias.” I opened the strange book Roxy gave me. It was torn from several places, most of its pages were unrecognizable, it was all tattered and torn but some of its pages were still intact. From the first look of it I can tell it was more than hundred years old. Roxy handled it with care as I can clearly saw how she had tried to bind it. I flipped through the pages. I can’t understand anything as expected. After I turned to the twenty page, I saw a white page stapled with the main page of the book. my first guess was that it was Roxy’s writing.

I'm guessing that English isn't your first language. Maybe it would be best to hire an editor? Some of the grammar mistakes make for a confusing read. I have had to re-read quite a few lines and guess the meaning with context clues. I'm intrigued with the story so keep it coming!

Forbidden Fairytales (A Short Story Collection)

Forbidden Fairytales (A Short Story Collection)

“You are pathetic.” Her body flinched at my words, but another wave of shivers covered her arms. “Dirty little doll.” The more I talked, the more her nipples were standing at attention, the more her breathing was getting heavier, the more her hands were gripping the fabric they were tied with. My fingers traced her leg. “I bet you are one of the people who like reading p**n books in public.” I moved to her other leg, gripping her ankle. “I bet you keep a straight face while your panties are getting soaked.”

Frequently Asked Questions

One of my favorite things about 'Fox' is how it balances raw emotion with poetic storytelling. Margaret Wild’s sparse yet vivid prose feels like a punch to the gut in the best way—every word carries weight. The illustrations by Ron Brooks amplify the haunting atmosphere, making it a rare picture book that lingers with adults just as much as kids. It’s a story about betrayal, longing, and the complexities of friendship, wrapped in metaphors that hit harder the more you sit with them.

That said, it’s not a light read. If you’re expecting something cozy or uplifting, this might not be your pick. But if you appreciate layered narratives that don’t shy away from darkness, 'Fox' is unforgettable. The way it leaves certain things unsaid forces you to fill in the gaps with your own experiences, which I adore. It’s the kind of book I’ve revisited over the years, always finding new shades of meaning.
