I wasn't just sipping, I was gulping, my throat working as I drained the life from her.
She thrashed underneath me, her small hands hitting my chest feebly, her muffled cries turning into wet, bubbly gasps.
"Yes," Dracula murmured from behind the bars. "Drink it all."
I felt her heart begin to flutter like a dying bird. I pulled back, my mouth a mask of red, and looked at her.
Her eyes were rolling back in her head.
She was dying but I wasn't done.
The monster in me wanted to see the damage. I grabbed her shoulder and bit deep, tearing a chunk of flesh away.
