“Thank you, Mrs-“ I felt his hand gently settle on my waist making my heartbeat increase. Meeting his gaze, I saw the same disappointment mirrored in his eyes as he surveyed the empty barn.
“Oh just Ms. I am Jane LaFontaine.” She says as she smiles, her cheeks turning red.
"It's not exactly what we had in mind, is it?" he remarked, his tone tinged with regret as he whispers it my ear. I shook my head in agreement.
"I was hoping for something a bit more... romantic I guess," I confessed softly, voicing my concerns. I had always dreamed of a fairy-tale wedding, surrounded by lush gardens and twinkling lights—not a rundown barn in the middle of nowhere.
