I rose from bed, frustrated to my gut as I left for the library, the only place I knew I could find my peace. I grabbed a book from the first shelf, it was my best book and I didn't mind reading it over again a hundred times. If it successfully keeps my mind off Andrew and his lady, I'd be glad. I curled up on the couch, looking down into the Jane Eyre novel. Every chapter is etched in my memory, and each sentence felt like an old friend whispering to me again. I didn’t even need to turn the pages to know what came next, yet still, I let my eyes wander across the words, soaking in the comfort of the story.

Frowning, I remove its contents, and my eyes grew. “First edition of Jane Eyre!” I say with excitement, then I blanch. Why was I excited about this? I look up at him and see the smile forming on his face. “I knew it,” he says and sits down on the chair next to my bed. “I knew you would remember your favourite book, even if you forgot everything else. Literature used to be your sanctuary.”

The one thing that she turns to when she needs an escape from her reality at the moment. “You must have something.” Gabe prombts her. “An old, worn out copy of Jane Eyre by Charlotte Brontë that I keep in between my mattresses so that no one will find it and take it from me. Reading that book always brings me comfort.” And gives her hope. It makes her feel so much better to read it.

She had noticed Reid stiffening at the mention of Sebastian’s name and she wondered again which story Freya had told her were true. Jane got ready for bed and lovingly placed the quilt over her bedspread. Then Charles instructed his driver and personal guard to accompany Jane outside. Once Jane was gone, Charles immediately invited Cyra to enter his private library. "Wow, you have many books, Bro," Cyra praised. Charles responded with a broad smile. He felt flattered by the girl's compliment. Right now, they were inside the library. Cyra had been exploring the room filled with books. Suddenly, her gaze fixed on a framed photo hanging in the corner of the room. Cyra quickly walked over to it. She wanted to make sure her eyes weren't deceiving her.

The sheer volume of thought and imagination contained in this room deserved respect. I climbed the stairs to Bronte and pulled out the first edition of Jane Eyre. I held the book like a fragile chick. Looking around, hoping against all odds he had, I spotted a window seat. There were even curtains covered with tape. I walked past Clive and Russell, who were discussing a vampire party visiting the city, and climbed onto the windowsill, drawing the curtains. The seat was the size of a double bed, with cushions and cushions. The heavy curtains muffled the voices of the men.

Opening the doors of the library she met Janeka and Freya, they glanced at her. “Where did you get that book from?” Freya asked, her gaze meeting the unfamiliar book she was holding in her hands. The book had a thick black leather cover with a golden seal on its top. Earnestine tightened her grip on it when she noticed footsteps approaching. She turned and met Sabrina walking in. “The car is good as new.” She told them, but soon she noticed the awkward look on their faces, walking closer to Janeka, Sabrina glared at Earnestine urging her to speak up.

Certainly, he was not the type to endure a long day of studies like I did. “Can I retire now? I can feel the comfort of my bed calling to me,” I muttered with a yawn as I averted my gaze to Phyllis. She remained seated across me, watching keenly to make sure I never missed any word in the book. I guess that was how unoccupied she was. The witch nodded and reached for the book, her eyes squinting the moment they met with the sepia yellow pages. She gestured for me to stand but before I could obey, the Library door opened and a balmy-looking Lady walked in. She was a servant, I could tell, judging from the pattern of her dress, as well as the gentle, elegant gathering of her ebony hair.
