Chapter 44 Marked WARNING! THIS CHAPTER CONTAINS (GORE, SEXUAL, SUICIDAL, DANGEROUS, EXPLICIT) SCENES AND WORDS NOT SUITABLE FOR PEOPLE BELOW 18 YEARS OLD. READ AT YOUR OWN RISKS! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED! She was Zane Fangs, the daughter of the Alpha of Dusk Dawn Pack, 21 years old. But she was also Zinnia, Nicholas Wyatt’s woman. The very same man who she just discovered was her mate. But he is just a simple human, he might get hurt and may not be able to understand her origin.

Frederick barked. Looking deeply hurt, Jordan wrapped both his arms around Michael's arm and complained with a pout, "Look at Freddy, Mikey! He's being so mean to me again. Boohoo…" "Shut up, or I'll shut you up myself!" Frederick roared, his gaze murderous as he glared at Jordan. Shrinking back in fright, Jordan quickly hid behind Michael. "What a twink," Frederick snarled. Michael could also see that Frederick was in a foul mood, so he asked tentatively, "What's wrong, Frederick?"

She laughed as she flopped into her chair. “Freddie came by Kris. He was insistent that you call him.” I didn’t say how strange he was acting. That is something Kris needs to see for herself. Her smile turned to a scowl. Then she picks up her mobile, obviously texting him. As Freddie is not part of our pack, she can’t mind link him. Her phone then beeps, “He’s coming over.” Her eyebrows knitted together in confusion.

All their attention was on Jessica. Freddie had spent his life as a warrior, achieving great military glory. He retired at 40 years old, married, and started a family. His son, Jonathan, was now 28 years old. Freddie himself was 68 years old, nearing his twilight years. Jessica Cook had just turned 18 years old. She was born when Freddie was already 50 years old. Having been born to him so late in his years, she was a rare gift. Thus, it was no surprise he spoiled her rotten.

she stuttered breathlessly "i think id like to take you up on your offer" she smiles coyly at me "im ggiving myself to you..... freely" and its nearly my undoing, i scoop her up in my arms and near run back to her room, i kick the door shut behind us and stand her in the middle of floor, shes trembling, "Are you cold little one?" "NO, no im just, i kinda used my bravado telling you i want you too. Im nervous i guess"

A desperate, terrible option. Because in twelve days, the apocalypse would begin. The temperature would drop to negative forty degrees. Power would fail. And in the chaos of a frozen world, people disappeared every day. Including hired killers. Including the Hart family. Maya picked up her phone with trembling hands and opened her notes app. She began typing, planning, calculating. If she couldn't beat them before the freeze, she would survive it. And in the aftermath, when civilization had crumbled and the old rules no longer applied, she would make every single person who had hurt her pay.

When I hear this sentence, I feel freezingly cold. Freddy has known that I am pregnant. How could he know it? Who told him about it? "Where is Freddy? I want to see him!" I scream loudly. I do not want to lose my children. I try my best to struggle but after a whole night of fighting with Freddy, I have very little strength. Compared to the strong werewolf bodyguard who looks like a giant to me, I am like a small cat. So the only thing I can do is stare at him throwing me into the car like throwing garbage.
