“Tell me which of these people you recognize.” We crossed over, curiosity outweighing our interrupted moment. “What is this?” I asked. “Everyone who was around Freddie’s locker in the twenty-four hours before he found the flash drive,” Dorothy replied. I scanned the spread. Familiar faces jumped out at me. “This is almost everyone on the Snow Bears,” I muttered. “Freddie always keeps a snack stash in his locker,” Ledger admitted, rubbing the back of his neck. “So most of us have access to it.”

He lunged with a snarl that sighed through the clearing, right in Ronan's face. A collision as unimaginable as it was brutal: two bears of violence smashing together with incredible weight and strength and energy. Ronan withdrew his teeth, slashing into Alec's side and twisting, swinging a massive foreleg and slamming Alec down to the ground. Kade and Jax were in motion too. Kade shifted in a flash to his rippling gray wolf before charging in, while Jax stayed human, circling, alert, eyes fixed with intent and waiting his chance. But Luna...still no movement.

"Do you really think it's a good idea to call him this time? It's past 11pm, you know? I can leave it till tomorrow..." "No, it's fine. You should call him now," She cuts me off, and I huff angrily. Having a crazy friend has both sweet and bitter side, and here is the bitter side of it. She will never cease frustrating my life. I'm sure of that. "You are such an annoying bitch," I huff before I finally unlock my phone and scroll through the contact, while she massages my shoulders. I finally spot his contact, and just when I'm about to dial the number, she speaks up.

Fucker. A tan, red-eyed Bear with brown patches on his sides stared me down, then came at me with teeth and claws at the ready. I tumbled to the ground with the beast, using my advantage of magically charged strength to overpower him. When I pinned the bastard down, I went for his throat, but his back legs slammed into my stomach, not only forcing me off of him, but cutting into my skin. Blood dripped slowly from the wounds, but I didn’t let that stop me.

"I will. I still remember your delicious cooked food, Soheila. I hope I will get a chance to taste it again." Soheila laughed when she heard that. "Well, if you won, I'll cook for you." Frid raised a brow. "Sure," He summoned his spirit beast, and light beamed on the stage. "Wow! It looks like we're starting now. We have a White Bear which is an uncommon spirit beast! That's amazing. A White Bear that is at the Moon Five Star Beast, and it seems like in a few weeks, it will advance!" The host announced.

I rolled my eyes as a man came on screen in place of our Lady President. Gerald Brandt was an older gentleman to me. Looked over 30 to me, so that's old. He had dark brown hair that was cut short and piercing green eyes. He went on to explain there were 5 types of shifters. Dragons (which are apparently the rarest), Foxes, Lions, Werewolves, and Bears. I was mesmerized as he spoke. I felt like I was either in one of my dreams or a fantasy book. "SO COOL!" I whisper-yelled. I didn't realize how angry my Dad was until I spoke out loud.

Waiting for Freddie is going to be the hardest task ever. Freddie, a hawk shifter, is a part of the original Freakshow and though he seems to be more of a loner, he is insanely valuable to our pack. He is literally our eyes in the sky and is our secret weapon when it comes to border patrol and protection. He sees everything. I sit up and move over to Bea, who is on the last watch. She smiles softly at me as I approach and take a seat next to her in front of the coals from last night’s fire. “Freddie mind linked Billy. He is flying over the area and will be here soon,”
