The sky over the small cove was a brilliant, endless sheet of blue. As the afternoon waned, the horizon began to bleed into a kaleidoscope of pink, deep yellow, and soft orange, cast over water so clear it mirrored the duck-egg sky perfectly. It looked like a living canvas, sharp and pristine.
