The Stepfather's Forbidden Claim

The Stepfather's Forbidden Claim

My bare feet sank into freezing, wet sand. It was dawn, but the sky was a heavy, suffocating gray. I was on a deserted, snow-covered shoreline, flanked by a dense, imposing wall of dark pine trees that looked like jagged teeth against the horizon. I was alone. Entirely alone. I took two steps forward into the freezing sand, my breath pluming in the air, when my eyes caught something that made my heart stop. Right next to my pod, leading out from the dark tree line, were fresh, heavy boot prints.

Julie asked. "More than you." Her sister replied with a smile. They could feel the light breeze coming against them. As they stroll along, they could feel the soft smooth sand under their feet. The sand was warm, mixed with a different coloured shells. The light from the sun shined on the shell which reflected onto them, creating a rainbow. Their foot were making marks on the beach as they took every step, these marks remained there until the water came and erased it away.

The Lycan King's Healer

The Lycan King's Healer

I held my breath, unable to tolerate the pain of each breath through my lungs without Theo. Aldrich knelt down to the ground for a closer look; the snow was very thinly strewn across the grass, but there was a patch that was imprinted by footprints. I shoved through everyone to observe them right by his side. The world froze as we all looked down, the footprints defined only by the moonlight and the mens’ flashlights. “There’s a child’s footprint,” Aldrich concluded, then looked to the space next to it. What was next to Theo’s footprint was a much, much larger one.

Great story but bad bad ending not a complete book. Buyer beware I would rate this as a 1 star but you won’t see my report. I read one other of her book but now I’m not sure if I will read anymore of this author.

Protected by the Devil

I shook my head slightly in refusal. "I want to go into the sea with you," I replied. I took care to go barefoot before entering the sea. The cold and moist sand enveloped my feet, and I walked gently to where the sound of the water breaking against the rocks that flanked the huge pool formed by the land itself throughout its first years of existence. The sea was cold, and the foam of its waters that were stained by a dark blue by the night and from time to time stained by the brightness of the fireworks exploding in the skies enveloped the tips of my fingers as the sand gave way and I gradually sank my ankles.

she said with a hint of mischief. "Then..." Alex prompted. "The beach," Emily responded, her tone light and inviting As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting a golden hue over the beach, Emily and Alex strolled along the stone walkway before stepping into the sandy beach, the rhythmic sound of waves gently crashing against the sand accompanying their every step. Emily walked in her sandal heel just then Alex knelt down on one kneel and placed Emily's hand on his shoulder and carefully unbuckled her sandal. A light blush was seen on Emily's face and she barefootedly placed her toes sinking into the warm, fine sand. Alex carried her sandals, a thoughtful gesture that spoke volumes about hi

Dear Husband my ex is back

Dear Husband my ex is back

Their small footprints dotted the sand. “Jay, come here!” Tracey shouted. Jay ran toward her, laughing, and together they bent down, dragging their fingers through the sand. Thalia watched them with soft eyes as the kids drew a large heart and wrote inside it in crooked, childish handwriting: Thalia and George The twins stood proudly, hands on their hips. “Thalia and George!” they yelled in unison, grinning brightly. Thalia laughed, covering her mouth. George laughed too as he took out his phone to snap a picture of their proud little masterpiece. Jay stepped back, admiring his own handwriting like he had just painted the Mona Lisa.

Be careful what you wish for

Be careful what you wish for

My toes wiggle in the cold, moist sand – it feels so soft against my skin. The sand spreads out, further and further, as far as I can see. It glistens as if a million stars have fallen from the heavens above and softly swallowed by the solid ground and now illuminates its light from below. One could mistake it for the calm sea, shining from the sun’s harsh rays. However, its soft grainy texture and its ability to hold me from falling prove that it is indeed sand.

Yes, that was the suggestion that came to my mind! First, I began to gather sand around my two feet. I gathered enough quantity that could bury my feet. I folded slightly, the trousers I was wearing. That was done in other to prevent my clothes from contacting dirt from the sand I was collecting. Next, I buried my feet in the small heap of sand which I gathered. With my palms, I arranged it and plastered it until the roof the whole heap of sand where I buried my feet became smooth. Carefully, I began pulling my feet out from the heap of sand, little by little until, they were out of the heap.

The Biker Alpha's Secret Baby

The fire had burned down to embers, casting only a dull orange glow. But just beyond the light, near the edge of the dunes, was a single boot print in the wet sand. Fresh. The rain hadn’t touched it yet.

The Island of the Silence

Bird calls. The quiet rustling of the palm leaves. Nothing from the eyes of the night. Maybe she had imagined it. Maybe it was just an animal she had observed. But the thought didn't let her go. Mara got up slowly. Her legs felt stiff, her muscles hurt as her body would have fought against the waves all night. She stepped out of her crooked condition and stopped. In the damp sand in front of her camp were traces. She saw her right away. Small, narrow prints, barely deeper than that of a dog — but different. Too round. To
