The sky was now bright with the early rays of the morning and I wondered where we were. "Bring them in," I heard a woman's hard voice order and we were pushed through a door into a bare room. A woman in a black pantsuit stood in the middle of the room standing with her hands crossed over her chest. Her hair was a faded blonde tied into a severe bun and her light blue eyes were as cold as chips of ice as they settled on me. "You must be Edwina Cornwell," she began, "My name is Lucrezia and I have a job for you."

Then, with purpose, I tossed it into the trash can. The sharp, hollow clink of metal hitting the bottom echoed through the quiet night. The wind brushed against me, its chill settling over my skin. I looked out over the night view, where even the dimmest stars held a faint trace of light. Then, I turned and stepped back inside, closing the door behind me. In that moment, I felt a stillness I had never known. Everything in the past had finally fallen with the stars into endless darkness. And ahead of me, there lay countless possibilities that I could explore one by one.

In fact, there was so much room between the size of the cover and the size of the pages that crystal tucked right up into the gap when she set the book on end. It was a perfect fit.

I didn’t have time to get a message back so I am desperately hoping that he received it. The room doesn’t seem to have a clock or anything in it but when I look out of the window it’s pitch black outside and it sounds like it’s pouring down rain. I am standing at the window when I hear a crack of thunder roll through the sky and just a few seconds later there is a beautiful streak of lightning that lit up the whole sky like it was the daytime. It feels so black that it’s almost like the Moon Goddess has closed her eyes and was crying for the world.

“Put your finger out.” I do as he says, and I wait for the burn to come, but it doesn’t. I close my eyes to numb any pain if it comes. I slowly open my eyes to see why I didn't burn. My finger is glittering. I’m blown away. “I’m like Edward right now,” I say, grinning, thinking about the Twilight books. The author did an excellent job in a lot of things regarding the supernatural. I walk out of the cave, still masking my scent, and bathe my body under the sun.

All of it told Sarah that the piece of human leg she was seeing wasn't fake. Sarah gasped for air, the flashlight slid off from her fingers. She falls back, gasping and wheezing as she stumbles backward, her widening eyes staring directly to the leg that became more visible because of the flashlight harboring it. Only then did she manage to let out a scream.

It wailed as it shattered upon hitting the marble. “Val!” Vivian cried from across the room. She had six Shadows circling clicking menacingly. While she flashed her dagger at them in hopes of warding them off with little result. ‘Use your magic the blades won’t do anything.’ I mindlinked racing over. A second later the flames engulfed four of the Shadows. Vivian rolled away grinning as the flames danced in her eyes, she was in her element. The four ‘henchman’ as I have now decided to call them went for their swords looking frustrated. Only to be paused as the leader lifted his hand.

As her voice became louder, the sky got darker, and the moon became larger as it emerged from the clouds. Tiffany was giving me CPR when I snapped out of the trance. “Breathe,” she said as she held the back of my head. “Just breathe.” I coughed and tried to get to my feet, but I staggered. Peter and Tiffany held me up and led me back into the house. As I lay on the bed, images of the blood moon kept flashing through my mind. The atmosphere in which it was, the aura it carried, the darkness surrounding it, and the lightning.
