The books were usually her best friend,taking her to faraway lands where she could find herself lost in beautiful views, peculiar characters and enchanted gardens. But today was different.

that was the end of the story. "So why the popular saying, "Gondor Always remembers?" I asked her. She then said, "it is magical and only a few have experienced it, when we go to Gondor maybe you might experience but no one can explain it, Gondor Always remembers!" I read the book from start to finish, it specifically talked about a great king, the King of Gondor, King Frudo. It talked about his war conquests and from the book I learned that he was the first to use the saying, "Gondor Always remembers," which has been passed on to this day.

I slip into the leggings and sweater instantly feeling much warmer from the long simple t-shirt I was wearing previously. “Oh, you know… the rogue leader with bad teeth… I think you called him Hobbit Gallum?” A young teenage boy walks over to Freya with his cup, and she pours him some more water. She smiles at him with such love that it just fuels the fire in me even more to help these kids and Freya to escape.

He pathetically begged for her to stay. “The name of the protagonist was Bilbo Baggins. He was short, face so comely and he does not like anything related to traveling. So he is indeed a home kind of a fellow. I mean all the people in Shire share the same perspective as him. They are just simple folks in that simple town.” He had read the book too and was pretty sure that it is not translated to any language rather than into Romanian dialect. How can this woman read those kind of books?

Veda I know today will change my life and I don't like it. Of course, I have no idea what the hell will happen to set fate in motion. Maybe I'll trip, hit my head, and forget who I am. It's the best scenario I can imagine. For months I've dreamed about today. Nothing solid and all of it confusing. Strange things - babies with long shaggy tails, an irritating gruff voice that makes no sense, and a burning heat that signals desire. Of all the stupid things, the last is the worst. The only thing I desire is peace and quiet.

More, and more. End of Book 1

I knocked on Daniel’s door, heart thudding like it owed me money. Silence. “What?” I heard him say after a while. “Can I come in?” I asked. More silence. Finally, the door creaked open. He looked tired. A little defeated. But he didn’t slam the door in my face, so that was a win. “I come bearing peace offerings,” I said, holding up the calendar. He stared at it. “Is Frodo… wearing a sombrero in July?” I nodded. “Freya’s got a tiny inflatable pool float in August.”

But now it’s lying in the center of my bed, open. I step towards it slowly, half-afraid it might suddenly flap its covers like wings and start flying around the room like an emerald green butterfly. With all the other madness going on around here, it would hardly be surprising. But the book lies still as a tombstone, the faded black ink staring up at me as I reach down to touch the thin paper. There’s a page missing. The jagged remnants of a torn page stick out from the spine, a clear sign that someone ripped a page out.

Steve (aka Casey) answers, "My favorite book is 'The Lord of the Rings' by J.R.R. Tolkien. What's your favorite book?" Sarah (aka Kiara) says, "Wow, I love 'The Lord of the Rings' too! The world of Middle-earth is so amazing! I also love the 'Harry Potter' series. Have you read those?" When Sarah was done saying these, she looked at Casey and said, "You see baby, it's not that hard to make friends. Just be yourself to see the changes". Casey smiled and kissed his Mother's cheeks when he heard this, he decided to give it a try for his mother sake.
