Last Man Standing

Last Man Standing

At that moment, an irate man's voice cut through the tension. A middle-aged man with a commanding presence approached, flanked by a retinue of his kin. He was Rainger Brown, head of the Brown family, one of Mareno City's most influential clans. Trailing just behind him was a seasoned man in his sixties, with a deep gaze and a formidable presence. He exuded the initials of a martial general, every inch the veteran warrior. "Who are you people!?" Rainger demanded, his entourage halting before Howard and his companion. His scowl was thunderous, a storm ready to burst.

The Miracle Doctor Won’t Be A Kept Man

My Heart Belongs Ashoreman marries himself
Therefore, after receiving Marshall’s call, they rushed over immediately. “Kill him!” Hans roared angrily at his men. Whoosh! One of his men stepped forward. He was a tall, muscular man in his thirties. His entire body was lean muscle, and his expression was menacing. That man looked way more intimidating than the men in Wolfgate, both in strength and appearance. As he stepped forward, he exuded a powerful aura and said domineeringly, “Kid, you better kneel before Mr. Ludwig and beg for mercy…”

Sinful Desires: Fatal bonds

Sinful Desires: Fatal bonds

“That doesn’t make sense.” “It does,” the man replied calmly. “You simply do not want it to.” Zero exhaled slowly, his frustration rising. “Then explain it.” The man stepped forward. This time, the distance truly closed. They stood facing each other now. Close enough that Zero could see every detail. The familiarity became undeniable. The structure of his face. It was him. But not the version he knew. Stronger. Sharper. Complete. “You are only a fragment,” the man said. The words were simple.

Alpha Santa

Alpha Santa

I take an involuntary step back as the man with those terrifying red eyes steps into the hall, his smirk curling like poison across his lips. His face—it’s Adam’s face. My heart pounds painfully in my chest, my instincts screaming at me to run, but my legs feel rooted to the ground.

Reckless Hearts

Reckless Hearts

Always act in a way that your face is never worth remembering. “Alright, well give me a shout if you need anything.” The man walks by and I glance towards the door. Where is he? I'm on edge, there’s no contact for weeks prior to locking in on a target. Why is he even in this city? The door opens after a while, and a man who is nothing out of the ordinary enters. He’s wearing a cotton jacket over loose pants and a white shirt, a cap on his head and normal boots that any middle-aged man would wear.

I think I write it for every book but it's the truth. When Author Muse introduces a new book to us it always starts with a Bang. Something always hooks me. It's different with every book. And this one is not making an exception. The plot is hidden delicately in the mixed emotions of the main couple.

Oh what a great start to this book! In true Muse style, this book is off to a cracking start and I’m left wanting more and ready for the next chapter, then the next! Tension, action, sass, wit, super smooth and cool, what more could you want? Highly recommend, gift it a go, you won’t be disappointed

A Man with Nerves of Steel

A Man with Nerves of Steel

That was when he saw what the guy actually looked like. He was tall, sure, but he had high cheekbones, a pointy, rat-like face, and nasty, stained smoker teeth. He wasn't even remotely handsome. Dressed in a leisure suit, Warren had a wooden rosary wrapped around his wrist and decorative beads around his neck. Joseph found him rather tacky. But when he imagined that this man had been intimate with Cora and might even have fathered her children, he felt so disgusted that he almost threw up right then and there.

The Man in the Past

The Man in the Past

Most of our luggage had already been shipped ahead, so each of us carried only a small backpack. Yvette appeared sad and disappointed that she didn't get to see Harold one last time. I didn't know how to comfort her, so I simply stayed by her side quietly. The boarding announcement came over the speakers. I held Yvette's hand and began walking toward the gate. Suddenly, Harold's surprised voice rang out behind us. "Catherine? Yvette? Where are you two going?" I turned around and saw three of them standing there, looking just like a perfect family. I looked composed and said nothing.

THE MYSTERY GIRL

THE MYSTERY GIRL

Kim wright
“I’m sure he's fine.” “I hope so.” **** He was standing, facing the wall, a man was standing in front of a mirror, having similar figures with that of a familiar man they knew, appealing shaving cream to his face. Behind his thin lips was a smile, a bad at that. He was waiting for orders, let him say the words, huge with hefty muscle, the only significant thing on him was a cut on his both cheeks with was appear to be an old scar. The man in front of the mirror crossed his hands at his back, he was near yet his voice sound so distant.

The Alpha's Guardian

I tilt my head looking him over, his dark deep-set eyes reddened as if from crying. “Frank!” Robin says, smiling brightly. He turns to face her, but the pain stays at the forefront of his mind. “What are you doing here?” he asks, his voice coming off harsh and menacing. “Ok, rude!” Mason says, walking over to him. The man rubs his face roughly with his calloused hands and looks at Mason. “Sorry. I’m just going through some stuff.” Mason reaches out and gives the man a big hug. “Ok, introductions please,” I say, looking down at my watch. I’m running out of time before the ceremony.

Chicken little
I typically hate "strong female leads because they tend to follow played out tropes. but I enjoyed this female lead. she is strong, but has weaknesses. there are a few plot holes and its not done yet, but thus far its a good book
Niamph
Finally! An Omega female who is badass, strong, excellent fighter and never gives up. And an Alpha who is understanding , accepting and not afraid to be sensitive. I am in love with this book! Read it if you are looking for something different!
