"Well, there's Ephesians chapter four verse thirty one and two. Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice. Songs I had never heard were being sung and I enjoyed the newness of these melodies. The sermon. The highlight of the gathering. I saw people, including Ariana, bring out notepads to write down words spoken by the middle aged man whom I later found out was Pastor Anderson, the lead pastor of The Oasis Ministries. Now I got why Ariana called it an oasis. "When we choose to love, it may not be very convenient. The first book of Corinthians, chapter thirteen shows us what loving entails. Love is patient, it is kind, it is not jealous, nor boastful or proud..."

But the Reverend's words were entirely captivating. " Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of Heaven." There was an entirely new view of heaven and spirituality. I sat up straighter, my senses attuned to his every word. Why, all those months when I felt abandoned and alone, all those times when wanting and poverty stared me in the face when I was abused and taken for granted…I was never completely forsaken. I blinked. I was never entirely alone. How comforting, and profound, to know that He was there, and cared for me all the time.

"Happiness? After this? Hahaha, where is that? I'm sure after this, those who know I am a spirit will chase me for my power. Those who are kind to me surely only want my power too. In the end, they only see me as a toy and their Pill!" said the spirit woman in a very painful voice. Her eyes were red and the tears she shed were almost blood.

I am in church: body, soul and if possible spirit. And somehow, in that moment, i know that when ever i hear the word "beautiful", i will remember that day, and i will remember the girl with skin that trapped the light. She is staring back now, as if she can hear my thoughts, as if her spirit can feel mine across the distance. Pastor Gabriel's voice booms over the speakers in symphony with my infatuation and for once i want to believe him. Badly. "When the spirit leads you, you can do no wrong!" He said "Hallelujah?" A thunderous Amen.

He just stated, "I'm not going to make this long and complicated," Pastor Eduardo open the Holy Book and read, ” Yet the time is coming and has now come when the true worshippers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshippers the Father seeks. God is spirit and His worshippers must worship in the spirit and in truth.” Steve is searching for the Bible scripture that he read with Natalie. Pastor Eduardo speaks as he bases his proclamation on the gospel contained in the Book of John. He fixes his attention on Natalie and Steve, who are carrying a tiny Holy Bible that he handed them before the event began.

He’s so impatient! I stilled when I open the message. Chayim Neo: Good morning. May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of Holy Spirit (Romans 15:13). My mouth hanged open as I finished reading his message. Goodness gracious! I squeezed my eyes closed, unable to move from where I’m standing. With my trembling hands, I decided to turn the knob and grip my phone tightly.

I retraced my thoughts back… Why does it have to feel tempting? Before I could take it in, I shouldn't feel tempted to take something I know I clearly do not like. I sighed in defeat knowing that the teddy had to go. “Cut it open!’ I heard a soft whisper to me. This voice had Lois taught me to be the holy spirit.

"We continue to study what the Bible says about Jesus Christ. In Mark 11:24, Jesus says, 'Therefore, I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will all be yours.' Ptr Kris read from the bible, adding, "In Luke 10:3, "Go, I am sending you out like lambs among wolves." Let's also look at verse 18,'I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven.' Verse 19,'I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemies; nothing will harm you." “Verse 20 says, ‘However, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your name is written in heaven.’ “Ptr Kris continues, "This is the Word of God."
