Mother, May I

Mother, May I

“Six elements, huh? Earth, fire, air, water, metal, and…” “Spirit,” I say again. The five basics—earth, fire, air, water, and metal—show up in our everyday work. But spirit? That one belongs to the Maiden alone. “What does that mean? Spirit?” she asks, frowning. “It means you’ll need to channel something from a spirit. It could be a message to a living loved one. A recipe. A story. Anything, really. The hard part is finding a spirit willing to speak—and that takes time. And your trials are timed.”

The Millionaire's Bride

The Millionaire's Bride

Sissy eagerly reached for Emma’s hand and whispered in Celina’s ear, “I’ll be her teacher today. Don’t worry.” And she didn’t. Celina trusted Sissy, and it spoke volumes that Sissy had been observant enough to know Celina might not be comfortable parting with Emma in a strange place. The pastor stood before the microphone at the podium and began his message. Celina listened intently as he read the scripture, and his voice rose in volume as he read 1 John 4:18 – 19. “There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love. We love because He first loved us.”

I enjoyed each of the sweet stories. However, I am not sure how the characters of Gabe and Celina in story two became Brian and Leah in story three while all the other characters, including their daughter, kept the same names.

The story in the introduction is Chapters 1-24. Then it’s different stories with new characters (Ch 25-55; 56-84; 85-117). Love how the relationships developed between Alexa & Salvatore / Celina & Gabe / Sara & Ian / Camille & Noah. Love how God, prayer, and faith were emphasized in each story.

His Marvelous Life Starts After Divorce

His Marvelous Life Starts After Divorce

"Young man, your wisdom far surpasses mine. You have grasped the true essence of divine grace at such a young age. As for me, even at my age, I haven't truly grasped any." Seeing Mr. Faith's dejected expression, Frederick couldn't help but ponder. Mr. Faith's selflessness and unwavering compassion were the epitome of kindness. How could he, a man who had dedicated his life to helping others, believe he hadn't grasped the essence of divine grace? In truth, Frederick himself wasn't entirely certain what these principles truly meant. With a slow, deliberate movement, Mr. Faith extended the Violet Spirit Vessel towards Frederick. "Young man, I now entrust this Violet Spirit Vessel to you."

Caught in-between Scammers

Caught in-between Scammers

From James 1, and in his words “1 A servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, To the twelve tribes scattered among the nations: Greetings. Trials and Temptations 2 Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. 4 Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. 5 If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding guilt, and it will be given to you.

Learning Her Lesson

Learning Her Lesson

He set a syllabus in front of me, keeping eye contact with me the whole time. While he stood up there lecturing I tried to concentrate on the words he was saying. It was probably the most difficult lesson I have sat through. All I could do was watch him. He moved so smoothly across his little stage. It was mesmerizing. He would look at me too, or I thought he was. Did I want him to? What is wrong with me, this man is my teacher, he is probably old enough to be my father. I just turned 20 this year. He is probably at least 45. "Iris, what philosopher did I tell the class was my favorite in college?" He smirked at me. What an ass. Did he know how distracted I was by him? I frantically looked d

I have to say, this is an excellent read, right from the first chapter it just grasps you. I know it isn't comedy but the choice of words just had me giggling. I just know it's about to get intense. If you're wandering whether to read it or not, take it from me, you must! You won't regret it!

I love the dark part of this story. It's touchy and realistic. Even though I just read the first chapter, I felt every meaningful touch and idea the author wanted to pass through. I'm so impressed and I definitely love this. Keep it up, writer.

The Long-lasting Tree

The Long-lasting Tree

“I’m preaching about God’s true love and compassion for mankind, for God first loved us before we loved him. Brethren, let’s not forsake such a great love. Alleluia!” “Ameeen!” roared back the congregation. “And today, we have that vine with us, the God that existed from the foundation of the world. He is also the Lord of Sabbath, and he shall grant you rest from all your sins and curses, and the labour of your soul. Look, all he needs from you is your heart, that you may love him with the whole of your heart and soul and your neighbour like unto yourself. The word of God in the book of John, chapter fifteen, verse one to five, speaks about this true vine."

This book is highly educative. For someone like me who studies cross-cultural communication, I find it quite important. I'm learning a lot concerning the culture of the Luo tribe of Kenya and how they responded to the western culture, religious conflict and quite a lot to do with relationship. ?

A book to pick from the shelf. Felt i was reliving times here, those wonderful moments in the history of a people. The Blue-eyed's intention with the bell and the tree's inexplicable powers are itchy... felt like I just wanted to know it all. This is a five-star novel, can't hesitate to say. ???

Netherworld [U.E]

Netherworld [U.E]

Not wanting to hear his answer, I spoke up but he interrupted me. "Searching for meaning is entirely about love. Behind the shadows is all about---Trust. Change is possible is solely about---acceptance. Finding God pertains to the three core values when combined, ---friendship was born and Sorrow---ah--" he paused for a moment with his eyes staring at me, "Pertains to sorrow itself." "I never thought about it until you asked," he spoke up, "All of it wants to regard that---"

Bloodbound: The legacy of Serelai

Bloodbound: The legacy of Serelai

"Listening is not just hearing. It is feeling. It is understanding. A song of joy can be as overwhelming as a song of pain if you don't know how to hold it." Arin stood with his arms crossed, his gaze sweeping over the group. "And action is not always the answer. Your first instinct will be to fix, to help, to do something. Sometimes, the bravest thing you can do is nothing. We will teach you how to know the difference." The first lesson was simple, and it was held right there in the Harmony. "Close your eyes," Leo instructed. "I want you to listen to the Heartwood. Not just the sound it makes. Listen for its… mood. Is it content? Is it energetic? Is it thoughtful today?"

Lola's Story

Lola's Story

I rolled my eyes for emphasis at the last statement earning a chuckle from her. "Lola I'm scared" She whispered shakily. "I know and I'm scared too but God hasn't given us the spirit of fear but of love, power and self-control" I quoted 2nd Timothy 1 verse 7. She nodded quickly. "Everything's gonna be alright, you look amazing, don't ruin the make up, it's money that they paid for it o" I pouted. She laughed, genuinely this time. Her countenance changed suddenly and she held my hands in hers, squeezing them softly.
