Soon, Joanna was able to fill the baskets with persimmons. She tried to bend over and pick them up. But the moment she touched the first basket, another bigger hand had already swooped in to carry the handles of the basket before lifting it up easily After that, Jeremy picked up the second basket that was laden with persimmons. He made his way back to the mansion in wide strides.

Under his right arm, he carries a basket wrapped in clear cellophane. The short round wicker basket has two handles raised to the sides to help keep in the pile of fruit from spilling over the edge. The rich brown color of the basket contrasts against the brightly colored bananas, apples, and oranges inside the plastic wrap. He slides the basket across the desk top to me. "A first day gift."

A small, folded note sat at the top, and she pulled it.

Collin said, his voice laced with concern. “No, not at all, they weren’t bad memories, let’s move forward.” I said carrying the fruit basket and dragging it along. The others followed my actions, and they carried the rest of our luggage. Collin walked up to me and yanked the fruit basket from my grasp to join the other baskets he had carried. I wanted to protest against it, but he didn’t spare me a chance.

“Why do you think I tried seducing you yesterday?” Bruce scrunched his face up. “You didn't even cook me any damn food,” he retorted. “But I did,” I breathed. “If you'd looked in the kitchen properly, you would've seen that I left you some curry and naan bread.” Bruce’s face fell, looking a little guilty now. He let out a heavy sigh, his chest heaving upwards and downwards. “I'm sorry,” he said flatly. “I'll make it up to you. I've just got a lot on my plate.”

The woman staggered when she's trying to stand up, before she slowly searched for any weapon she could use to escape from whoever person that kept her in this strange white room. Maya didn't know if the person who brought her was overconfident or stupid, but she could easily find a fruit knife that was tucked away near a basket of fruits that was put next to Maya's bed.
