THE BRATVA’S BRIDE
“He’s mine.”
The words froze the room. Even the guards lowered their rifles, unwilling to defy that voice.
The brothers collided again. Nikolai, desperate and wild, fought with every ounce of rage left in him. Mikhail countered with brutal calm, his fists slamming into Nikolai’s jaw, his elbow cracking against his temple. Blood sprayed across the polished wood of the table, staining the council’s documents red.
Still, Nikolai refused to yield. He broke free of Mikhail’s grip and swung wildly, his knuckles splitting as they connected with Mikhail’s lip. Blood dripped down Mikhail’s chin, but his expression didn’t change. He looked almost inhuman, like the pain barely registered.
