He emptied the last content of the bottle into the cup and gulped it down his throat. I noticed he made it a routine to drink a cup of water once he is up from bed, he told me it was very healthy and I am gradually buying into that habit. "How was your night by the way?" He asked turning to me. "It was okay, I slept well" I answered while I silently continued warming up to ask a question that has been bothering me for a while now, as far as I am concerned, it was the most important question to me at the moment that requires an urgent response.

She began to walk out the door when she realized she had forgotten something behind. She pivoted and saw her cup of watermelon juice lying unfinished on the table. She quickly returned inside to grab it. She took a small sip, relishing its fresh, sweet taste. While most people drank tea or coffee to get by their days, she was one of the rare few who didn’t need a caffeine high. Her juices helped soothe her, and so she drank different ones daily, twice a day. Balancing the cup in one hand and her notebook, pen, cellphone, and laptop in the other, she turned to exit the door and slammed into a hard chest.

She quickly hands her the glass reluctantly. "Here's your water and no more requests .We are running out of time ," "Im sorry ,"Rue apologies with a small smile and downs the whole cup at one go . She really drinks alot of water . "I know what you are thinking , I just love water,"She comments looking at my face with a side eye .

"I passed out and you're offering me water. Did you also forget I donated blood. I need a truck load of food and expensive wines.... And you're offering me WATER?!" "I'm the doctor here so you have to do as say. Slight fatigue is normal after donation.. especially after you've been tossed around like a sack". She rolled her eyes at that last part. "That's why drinking lots of water helps to relieve some of that stress". She snatched the water away and gulped it before pushing the glass back into his hands. "You talk too much." She implied with a frown. "You complain too much". He countered, turning away. "So..how do you feel now". He asked.

"Wonderful, I was just hearing about….actually I don't remember what I was just hearing about." "Mm, I can see that. What number of drink is that?" His hand stayed where it was. "I think I lost count," "It's your sixth cup, I had to end my discussion prematurely." "You've been counting?" "Someone has to, as you've been enjoying yourself way too much. You need to drink water and drop that cup,” He steered me slightly sideways away from the conversation. "I don't want water."

“I’ve never seen you touch this holy shit once. Why do I have to?” He raises a brow, smug as hell. “Just because you don’t see it doesn’t mean I don’t drink it, Little Birdie. I do. Now drink. And eat.” He shoves a plate into my hand, grilled chicken, veggies, actual food, and sits on the edge of the bed like a warden. Water. I haven’t voluntarily drunk water since I was twelve and discovered caffeine is a personality trait. I stare at the glass like it personally offended me. “This is torture. Like an actual punishment.”
