Falling For The Enemy
She began to walk out the door when she realized she had forgotten something behind.
She pivoted and saw her cup of watermelon juice lying unfinished on the table. She quickly returned inside to grab it. She took a small sip, relishing its fresh, sweet taste. While most people drank tea or coffee to get by their days, she was one of the rare few who didn’t need a caffeine high. Her juices helped soothe her, and so she drank different ones daily, twice a day.
Balancing the cup in one hand and her notebook, pen, cellphone, and laptop in the other, she turned to exit the door and slammed into a hard chest.
