When the Painting Tells the Story

When the Painting Tells the Story

“Stop screaming! I’ll buy you a drink at the cafeteria, so just calm down. You don’t want to be the center of attention, right?” Alain finally relented. He let the young painter drag him. Unfortunately, even though he had stopped screaming, but the two of them still became the center of attention. Some students looked at them weirdly. Even some other lecturers furrowed their eyebrows at the sight. Alain reflexively covered his face with his free left hand. René smiled in amusement at the adorable sight.

The Day She Stopped Waiting

The Day She Stopped Waiting

He began making up a story. Slowly. "There was once..." He smiled. "...a very stubborn little fox." Peanut gasped. "Like Cookie!" Thomas laughed. "Very much like Cookie." "The fox believed every shiny thing was treasure." Peanut nodded enthusiastically. "Smart fox." "The fox met a little bird..." He turned another page. "...who wasn't afraid of storms." Peanut leaned closer. Listening. Completely captivated. Thomas kept going. Inventing the story as he turned each page.

10 chapters in and I hope it’s second chance book. I love a good “leaving my shitty husband for a better man” plot but sometimes I love a good “I need to get my wife back” plot as well. Sometimes I want to read about how a relationship was pulled back from the brink and I feel this is goi to be it.

Fake To Fall

Fake To Fall

Translation: lie convincingly and make it cute. Some couples went all in—wild beach stories, candlelit dinners, ridiculous near-death adventures. A few were genuinely adorable. Others… were so detailed that Ivy was starting to wonder if they were actually fake couples at all. She sat beside me, fingers nervously tracing the rim of her empty champagne glass. “We didn’t plan a story,” she whispered, her voice tight. “That’s the fun of improv,” I said under my breath, fighting a grin. She turned and gave me that sideways glare—the one that said you’re enjoying this way too much. “You’ll be the death of me.”

The Dire Girl

The Dire Girl

Perhaps because there was something taut beneath the brightness now, something that did not feel like one of her usual fascinations. “What sort of story are we talking about?” I asked. Jenny hesitated just long enough to make the pause deliberate. “The kind people laugh at until they can’t.” I frowned. “That sounds even worse!” “It sounds fun.” “It sounds like trouble.” She grinned. “Those are often the same thing.”

Forbidden: One Night Stand With The Werewolf Billionaire

Forbidden: One Night Stand With The Werewolf Billionaire

I chuckled, sitting up. Gianna burst out laughing when I said this and Diana joined, and I just had a feeling that there was something I was missing. Maybe a funny story of some sort and I couldn't wait to hear it because I knew that it would be hilarious. When it came to funny stories, the girls never failed, and I wanted nothing more than to know what they had been involved in. "That was a vial of smelling salt. I put it under your nose to bring you back to life," Diana said.

Hidden Desires: My Best Friend's Older Brother

Hidden Desires: My Best Friend's Older Brother

Liam had an uncanny ability to infuse laughter and light-heartedness into any situation. His jokes, witty remarks, and playful banter seemed to dissolve the weariness of the physical work we were engaged in. The repetitive strokes of the paintbrush and the meticulous care required to refurbish the furniture might have been tiring, but Liam's humor was a refreshing reprieve. It kept us going, and his ability to make even mundane tasks feel like fun was a testament to his infectious spirit.

Yes, Alpha Daddy

“And I just… write things sometimes… stupid stories…” “Stupid stories?” She nodded. “Silly things.” I tipped my head. “That’s what they are, are they? Silly things?” Another nod, and I raised an eyebrow. “Well, that really is a shame considering I’ve just abandoned my family Christmas to drive back across the country on the back of these silly stories.” She couldn’t gulp a breath quick enough. “I made the cat up,” I continued. “A silly story of my own under the circumstances, so I think that puts us on a par with the falsities, don’t you?”

A man hit by a car in New York in 1977 got up uninjured, but lay back down in front of the car when a bystander told him to pretend he was hurt so he could collect the insurance money. The car then rolled forward and crushed him I don't own any of this stories. I found them in some creepy books. I'm thinking of writing my own scary stories, but not anytime soon.
