The Demon
I followed the trail of innocent blood.
Ghosts couldn’t take their revenge on their own—not until they received their power through me, through my blood. I let them wreak vengeance on their enemies, yet I also gained control of them. And they wanted to help me, all right. I broke into a run. If anybody saw me, they would be shocked, as I was racing down the road faster than a saddled stallion, empowered by moonlight.
A grey cloud hid me from prying eyes. I didn’t even notice as I arrived at the castle, but blood was calling me. It was the home of those who had spilled it. Not all of them, but the majority.
