Even the Patron remained still. "What is the Genesis Protocol?" Adrian demanded. Gabriel answered in a voice barely above a whisper.

“You monster…” “What?” Kelvin glanced toward the car again. “Did I say too much?” He stepped back with a cold smile. “Listen, these are just words for now. Don’t make me show you how quick I am with actions.” “You’ll regret this,” Noah muttered. “No, I won’t.” Kelvin’s eyes flicked to the car once more. “Now run along. And tell your little friend I want to say ‘hi’.” “No. He probably doesn’t want to,” Noah replied firmly. Without another word, he turned on his heel and walked back toward the car, his shoulders rigid with barely contained anger and shame.
