He took a sip of his coffee, savoring the taste and aroma. Enzo's thoughts were interrupted by his phone buzzing. He looked at the screen and saw a text from Cassiel. "Hey, just making sure you made it home okay," the text read. Enzo smiled, feeling a warmth in his chest. He quickly typed out a response, "Yeah, I'm home safe and sound. Thanks again for taking care of me last night." He hit send, feeling grateful for his friendship with Cassiel.

The loud rings echoed in the spacious restroom, instantly reminding me of Enzo just waiting outside. "Who's calling?" Miles furrowed his brows. He stood still against the wall while I checked my phone. "Enzo, probably." I looked away the second I caught his lips compress into a scowl. "Of course," he muttered. "Must be important." I tapped on the green phone icon. "Hey. Almost done. Sorry. Be back in a minute." "I have good news and bad news," Enzo said in his familiar accent, not bothering to respond to my white lie. "Which do you want to hear first?"

Another man was dead and gone. _ “Have you watched the news?” Enzo asked Cielo on the phone early the next morning. He was sitting in his sitting room with a glass of fruit juice in his left hand and the tv remote on the right. “No. Why?” Cielo replied, already picking up the tv remote to switch it on. “Check what is on the headline, I'll get back to you,” he replied and ended the call. She shrugged and changed the channel to the local tv channel.

Fernando’s POV I thought the worst part of my day was my assistant's rage attack against my neighbor. It would have even been amusing to watch the two of them arguing if I weren't her boss and he hadn't been at the hospital with his daughter. But then my cell phone rang and it was Enzo. I remembered the warnings he had given me the last time he called, and I really hoped I wouldn't have to go to Lynx World to keep the more brazen guys away from my girlfriend.

enzo: i have paid the bills so don't worry, i am in a club with some family friends or will you love to join? before i could reply, i heard some playful voice behind, "is that our sister-in-law? enzo is really married?" "i guess she must be an angel that fell from the skies" shuffling sounds followed the voice seems like he left the room. "sorry about that, that's ross, my younger cousin, he's a very playful one" i mumbled. what sort of words is that? why will i be an angel? can't enzo have a wife too?

Enzo replied, his voice tight. Five minutes later, Enzo burst through the door. “Hey, babe. I need your phone to track the call.” Peter shoved the phone into his hands. “Please find him. The call just cut off. I feel like he might be in danger.” His voice broke. “I can’t lose my best friend.” “You won’t,” Enzo promised, pulling him into a quick, hard hug. “Don’t get yourself killed, Enzo,” Peter whispered into his chest. *****

I was paralyzed to see him in front of my eyes. "Yo - You?" I managed to speak in a shaky voice. "Hello, there!" He replied with an evil smirk on his face, making me skip a beat. ********* Jacob's POV: I kept looking at my phone while Enzo kept looking at me in confusion. "Who is it?" Enzo asked anxiously while for the first time in my life, I was a bit anxious to answer someone's call because I knew what was coming. Enzo leaned down to look at my phone and then looked back at me with his eyes wide in shock.
