Gabriel turned slowly, his piercing blue eyes locking onto Eleanor Kane, who sat rigidly in the leather armchair across from his desk. She hadn't taken off her camel hair coat, and her hands were trembling as she held a silver handle umbrella. "Doing what, Grandmother?" Gabriel asked, his voice deep. "Staring into the dark as if you’re trying to find a missing piece of a puzzle," Eleanor said, her voice cracking slightly with an emotion Gabriel rarely saw her display. "I was on the North Side this afternoon, Gabriel. I stepped into a small grocery store on Lincoln Avenue to escape the downpour."

Lucy said, squeezing his hand as they walked into his room. In Gabriel's home, the walls were wooden-paneled with a rustic native design which held few photos of his parents, Samson and Vance, as well as his veterinarian degree spread throughout the room. A stone fireplace sat in a kitty corner in his bedroom with a bookcase built into the wall that was on either side of the queen-sized bed. His bed had a simple tan comforter and pillows that blended well with the colors of the wood walls and stone fireplace. "Do you like to read?" Lucy asked, dropping his hand and walking to the bookcase, absentmindedly running her fingers across the spines of the many books Gabriel had.

I'm not lucky enough to have my phone with me, if not, I would've called Crystina to ask about their location. Since it wasn’t possible, I walked around the house, opening each room thinking I could find a library and if possible, books for reading. Most of the rooms were empty, some were even not painted. When I finally entered a study room that I knew belonged to Gabriel from the scent that filled the room, there was nothing like a book. I was still in there, getting myself occupied with the boring document, reports, and other writings when I heard voices calling from outside. I hesitated for a while trying to hide out from people but when I heard Luka's voice, I walked out of the room.

He took note of each person that walked in and out, and how some of the older folk seemed to give him strange looks, like they knew him, yet didn’t at the same time. Gabriel walked right through the entrance, his eyes scanning the room. In the middle of the store was a wooden table with a wide selection of flowers and bouquets. Along the walls, stood shelves holding potted plants. On the side, was a desk and Gabriel’s eyes went there, only to find a teenage boy sitting, tapping away on his laptop, ignoring the customers. “You want some flowers buddy?” The teenager asked when he noticed Gabriel, chewing annoyingly on the gum in his mouth.

I explained to him. “Fine! Let’s get to work.” Jacob exclaimed, and I loved the rush. After discussing more important matters with Genelia and Fiarra, I hit the library and looked for the books of my use. There were over ten thousand books but how will I find the one for me? “May i help you?” a voice healed behind my ear and I screamed in fear. “Who are you?” I asked while gasping for air. “Sorry, I scared you, Last Alpha! I am the librarian here.” a weird-looking dwarf said.

The door clicked closed and Gabriel was alone again. Hours had gone by and Gabriel was finally finished destroying all the papers and files his father kept, and now he was throwing the books in large garbage bags to be burned. Gabriel tossed the books roughly into the bag, ignoring the flyaway dust particles that seemed to invade his skin, creating a thin layer over him. He felt gross. But he knew this needed to be done. He picked up an old notebook that had less dust than the other books surrounding him. Curiously, he opened it and was rather surprised to see what his father had written.

Deciding to shift my focus away from the lingering subject, I resolved to embrace the day with a positive outlook. In the afternoon, engrossed in a novel procured from the library, I ensconced myself in my room, conveniently situated adjacent to Gabriel's. An interruption arrived in the form of a knock, and a helper conveyed that a call awaited me. A knowing grin graced my lips; it could only be Gabriel. Who else would be calling me? With a surge of anticipation, I hurried to the living room and seized the phone. "Hello," I greeted with a smile that practically radiated through the phone line.

I say and he chuckles through my mind making me shiver. " Well, I think you will like this one a little better than the last one , the location at least. " Hmmm, and why is that?" I ask him. " Because the largest bookstore in the state is only half an hour away, '' he says and I squeak both in my mind and outside, making Ethan freak out. " Oh shit". I panic. " What, what's wrong?" Gabriel ask I screamed out, and scared Ethan . He swerved the car a little . I say with a giggle and I hear Gabriel laugh fit through my mind. It is warm and sexy and makes me want to hear it in person again.

“You know what, you are so focus with one thing that you tend to lock yourself out from everything.” “I do not.” Gabriel started walking away, so I stood immediately and followed him with Edith, who still chose my company. “What are you doing here with Gabriel?” She answered me with her signs, keeping him company. I tapped her head telling her that she was doing good. We walked pass shelves after shelves, until we arrived at the far end corner of the library. There was no window for natural lighting in this area, so Gabriel had to lit a candlelight lamp. Five lamps were enough to set the whole corner alight, and I saw now where the other books were.
