"Now, take off your clothes, Thomas. One of the guards will examine your body." The man named Thomas immediately complied, opening his long shirt until the curves and bulges of his muscles were visible. Almost everyone who was there was shocked when they saw it, except Deric. Those bulging muscles were in stark contrast to his nerdy appearance. Stevan gave the code to one of the bodyguards to examine Thomas' body. The bespectacled man spread both hands, saying nothing as the bodyguard touched several parts of his body. The bodyguard returned to his place, then said, "Clear."

"Is this the Quart Bodyguard Services?" Robert asked without hesitation after getting connected on the phone. "Good morning sir. This is the official phone of Quart Bodyguard Service QBS. How may I help you?" a female operator voice expressed clearly. "That's good. I'm in dire need of a bodyguard. I need it as fast as now. I need it yesterday" he couldn't articulate himself anymore. His anxiety had taken over him.

The overbearing middle-aged man widened his eyes as well upon witnessing the scene. He was flabbergasted. He had hired those four bodyguards for a hefty price; each of them received a tens of thousands dollars as annual wage. Every single one of them was an expert capable of taking on a dozen men. Even professional fighters had a hard time beating them, so why did they struggle so much trying to deal with the man before them?

His hand twitched as if he might grab me, and my body stiffened, bracing for the struggle. Before I could react, a shadow loomed over me. My bodyguard had stepped forward, his body cutting into their circle like a wall of thick iron. He didn’t say a word at first, but his presence was intimidating enough to make them retreat a few steps back. The man in front of me sneered. “Stay out of this, man. This is between the lady and us.” The bodyguard tilted his head, slow and deliberate. Then, with a subtle movement, he pushed back his jacket just enough to reveal a handgun strapped by his side. His hand rested casually on the grip, fingers curling around the grip and the trigger.
