Can he be moved?” The doctor nodded his head, seeing her distress. “I will give him a shot of this and then we will get him home,” he said, producing a hypodermic syringe from his bag. “He has taken a nasty crack on the head, but there are no bones broken, thank goodness. I’ll go over him thoroughly again in the morning, just to make sure,” he promised. Darcy hesitated.
