What a horrific thing to witness. The monster is about twenty feet tall and a grayish green color. It has the body of a giant eel, but it has a horrifying face, reminding me almost of a dragon. It moves like a snake, slithering it's way across the sand. Beside me Ellie appears out of nowhere, cursing the bad luck that brought us this creature. “What is it?” I ask her. “A leviathan. A sea monster.” She tells me, still staring at it. “Damn it. Okay. I'm going to go fight it.”

“You heard him. Let’s keep the ugly one busy.” The Leviathan reared, pulling half its mass out of the water. Its bulk towered above them; its body was made of ship fragments, chains, and dark foam, towering higher than the tallest crane. It slammed both limbs down. Alessia lifted both hands. Her luminous eyes surged. Two pillars of silver-shadow energy shot into the creature’s arms, meeting the blow head-on. The force cracked the dock, but it held. Alessia’s boots dug a fraction into the planks.

I nodded my head yes to confirm that I know them. “Say them again, but this time, whisper them into this.” He told me and held the earring out to me. I looked around for a moment as if the pressure was all on me. I cleared my throat and repeated the words. As I did so the orb started the glow. Once I was finished Anubis tossed it up into the air. It glowed brighter and brighter, until suddenly it expanded like a giant balloon! Suddenly the egg shaped orb explodes, causing the orb Leviathan was in to also explode. We all hurried out from under the orbs and took higher ground. Two loud booms echoed in the center of the stadium as a cloud of smoke covered the area. A loud roar blew away the sm

Then another. A coil thicker than I’d ever seen before. My heart slams against my ribs. A serpent. But not just any serpent. A leviathan. The creature’s body winds through the entire chamber, ancient scales layered over muscle that could crush a house. Faint blue lines trace between the ridges of its armor-like plates, glowing dimly beneath centuries of scars. At first glance, it looks like part of the cavern itself. Then its chest expands. Slowly. The movement pushes clouds of silt into the water as the massive rib cage rises before settling again. The pressure of that breath ripples through the water around me.

Félix shouted, launching himself over the railing with his daggers. The battle for the Ark was a claustrophobic, slippery nightmare. The shifters fought on the narrow catwalks and the sloping obsidian walls, the spray of the ocean making every footing a gamble. Runa and the Deep Woods wolves were in their element, moving through the rigging with a feral grace, their green auras clashing against the blue bioluminescence of the shadows. But the real threat was the Leviathan-Prime. A massive, bone-plated serpent, twice the size of the ones we had seen in the harbor, erupted from the waves. It slammed its head into the Spire’s hull, the kinetic seals flickering under the impact.

She pouted just a little when he stomped it on the deck, then threw it over the balcony. “I, I was just, I,” she stumbled over her words, completely stunned at the gorgeous man glowering over her. “Well,” he tapped his foot impatiently, as if he were dealing with a child. “It helps my nerves,” she finally stuttered. “And what is that?” Drago gestured to her dog, who was still snoring away, unfettered by the handsome doctor’s presence. “Oh, that’s Thor, my mastiff,” “Mastiffs are good guard dogs,from the time of the Romans,” Drago said thoughtfully.

I laughed loudly, making Atlas turn quickly around. My laughter bounced off the walls of the cavern and into the water itself, which seemed to grow in heat as though it enjoyed my laughter. Atlas stood silent, his eyes venturing no further than my neck. His eyes were no longer cloudy, but a dazzling shade of white-blue; lighter than the water we swam in. Atlas looked better than ever, just as Micah had said. All of the stress and fatigue had been wiped from him. His skin was his usual porcelain pallor, and his hair was its blinding shade of platinum blonde. Whatever the journey had done to him, the magic within the water erased it all.

The seam continued up between his brows and then ran a crooked pattern to disappear beneath the hood. They called it a cleft palate but she'd never seen one so bad. The two halves of his face had seemed to shift; the bone structure beneath the flesh, causing his face to sink in slightly, gave him a gorilla–like appearance. He also had no color. He was as white as an albino. His grey eyes were fringed in reddish lashes that looked almost non-existent. His upper lip seemed to have three distinct sections that she couldn't quite understand. He was by far the scariest looking man she'd ever seen.

I see” she said “Yvonne, please don’t be afraid of me I'm here to help” he said “No am no longer scared, looks like we are getting along just fine" she said smiling—although she wasn’t sure for how long they would get along

The sound of its double screech hit us like a localized shockwave, shattering the stone lip beneath our feet and sending a fresh cascade of gravel into the black void.
