The New Age King // Book 2

The New Age King // Book 2

Instead of helping him with his opponent, I attack the small blue dragon waiting to take him by surprise. I launch myself into the air with my jaw wide. Biting through Dagahra's neck was a piece of cake, and I don't imagine killing this underlying will be any different. I clamp down on his long neck, and without even applying full pressure, I bite threw his spine and land on my paws. His body slumps to the ground, and I spin around to find the other two I smelled trying to escape. Garrett has won his battle but has allowed his grief to overtake him. His fangs and claws are still too busy tearing about his opponent's corpse to pay attention to other enemies.

Great quicker read overall. There were unexpected plot twists and well developed banter throughout. The author brings life to different attitudes that aren’t commonly written into novels, which I loved. My only note is that I WISH the author would write more about the lives of Sara & Tab’s pups!

SECRET OBSESSION

SECRET OBSESSION

"That's insane." "Now you know why monsters and magic items are so coveted. For some, it's the only way to gain any true power." Naia tilted her head at Abella. "Gargoyles are impervious to most normal means. Neither blade nor flame can scratch their hides, and they are extremely strong. There are few places in the world that could protect you from a gargoyle attack. With just Abella at your side, you could have your enemies killed with little fear of recourse." "Well, not that I really do that now," Abella added. "I'm bound to the house. Unless such a task involves the long term protection of this place, I can't fly very far from here without feeling a strong urge to return."

Hunters: The Prequel

Hunters: The Prequel

In fact in this realm, very much unlike the others, strength wasn’t the oddity- intelligence was. The planet they were currently on a planet ruled by gargoyles. Well the term ‘ruled’ was not an apt description- more like the gargoyles were at the top of the food chain on this planet. Gargoyles were creatures that were rarely seen in the other realms. This was mainly because only in darkness would gargoyles be truly active. They froze into stone sculptures when the sun shone on them. They were abundant in the Realm of the Desolates however, since there was no light here. “I do miss your father. A great warrior, invincible he was- unlike that coward Helios who calls himself the sun god. With t

I hope that’s not the end end. So many left off pieces of the story all his friends on the other world, all the other gods story lines, he’s only used his blood born weapons and armour twice. Hasn’t even made it out of dreamscape yet. Still have everything in true verse going on while he “asleep”

A Biker’s Valentine{Entwined With A Vampire}

A Biker’s Valentine{Entwined With A Vampire}

Chapter Twenty-Six Anders Hidden deep within the castle, underneath the ground was a cave. It wasn’t really a cave as in the word, but a place that looked like one. Gargoyles were stationed at almost every corner making it look eerie. These gargoyles came to life once they sensed a Vampire within their territory, and each of them belonged to every Vampire in the Kingdom. I walked to my own. It was short, and barely reached my knees. Its teeth was bared in what was supposed to be a smile, but instead, it looked like a scary creature smiling at its prey.

Her Enemy, His Curse

Her Enemy, His Curse

This wasn’t a school. This was a sentence. I paused just beyond the iron portcullis, my stomach twisting into something sharp. Everything here reeked of punishment and power. Even the stone seemed to hum with it—a low, vibrating thrum that settled in your bones and whispered submit. Gargoyles leered from above, their eyes carved to follow you wherever you walked. The sigils etched around the doors pulsed faintly, not welcoming but warning. Wards. Strong ones. Not to keep intruders out—but to keep the monsters in.

The Dragon's Empire Book 1

I fled the aerie, elevator plummeting to the underground garage, shadows swallowing the light. The concrete abyss reeked of oil and rubber, my SUV a black pearl in the dim rows. Keys bit my palm as I approached, heels echoing isolation. Then—movement. A wall of scarred muscle materialized from pillars, ginger crop under fluorescents, ice-blue eyes feral.

The Ominous: Some play it safe, heroes don't

“What are you doing? “ Following your suggestion. Madison answered. Doing a little research. Madison used her telekinesis to rapidly move the pages of the book, hoping to find answers to each of the girls’ enemies. “Wait a minute. Where did you get that book? “June said. “I mean I have skimmed through this library a million times and I never even seen that one,” “I just saw poking out of the shelf down there. I cannot explain it, but I think this might give us the answers we need,” “Mysterious cakes. Strange books. Talking cats. After everything we have gone through so far, nothing is going to surprise me again,” April G remarked as she shook her head. Madison stopped flipping through the bo

Command of the Wolf

Command of the Wolf

Grrrr — Moon and I startled, swinging around, as the growl echoed again behind us. I stared into the dead eyes of the stone wolve that was prowling go to me. My heart lurched, missing a beat, and I moved my head as if somehow that would make the stone wolve disappear. “Nope, I didn’t order any magical gargoyles today, thanks.” The stone wolve snarled. Moon grabbed me by the elbow, dragging me back, until we stumbled into Jeremy. “I’ve never felt like the lamb before.” Jeremy’ eyes were wide, then they sparkled. “It’s making me all tingly.”

Guardians of the dark world - Deadly desires Book 1

Guardians of the dark world - Deadly desires Book 1

The words seemed to leap off the page, filling the room with an eerie sense of foreboding. Everything written in the book didn't make any sense to either Stella or Morgan. They found everything in the book quite absurd. The book spoke of witches, dragons, angels, vampires, and the devil. They didn't believe in such a thing at all, weren't they just fantasy? If they were to interpret it, it only meant that Grandma Elizabeth was a witch while the stranger guy whom Stella had picked from the streets the previous night was the devil.

A Luna for the Lycan King

A Luna for the Lycan King

Its eyes, when they landed on me, shone with an alien intelligence. Gargoyle. I’d read the word a hundred times in the old archives, but nothing prepared me for the reality of it. The thing was power incarnate, built for war and worship. It shook itself, sending a cloud of stone dust into the air. Its gaze landed on me, then James, then the rest of the pack. It did not attack. Instead, it cocked its head, as if waiting for something. The arch behind it kept pulsing, the light growing brighter, and the pain in my chest swelling to a maddening pitch. I clutched at my sternum, fighting to stay upright. Lightning began to form around me, burning my skin in a wild electrical storm.
