the gatekeeper asked through the microphone above the two-way communication buttons in the guard room. Keyara heard the question from the supervisor and responded. "Please open the gate. I want to go out!" Keyara shouted in front of the CCTV screen, which seemed to have a pan-tilt-zoom function. The speaking gatekeeper immediately pressed the button to open the gate, causing the four-meter-high gate to move and spread. As soon as the gate partially opened, Keyara rushed out eagerly. After successfully passing through the partially opened gate, Keyara quickly walked along the eastern side of the house. The house on that side had a black fence that covered the entire front area.

There was the front entrance but it was locked as well but there was a keypad next to it. ‘What did she say? 7-5-6-2-4…4…’ ‘Three.’ Niru snorted. As soon as I punched in the number, I heard a huge thunk and I reached out, turning the door and opening it. Stepping inside, the door locked behind me as it shut. My eyes widened as I looked around. I’d never seen such an incredible garage. Not just the look of it but there was a 1961 Chevy Corvette and a 1973 Buick Riviera in two of the lanes. I continued to look around but the best bet seemed to be the stairs that went up over the shop.

I reached for the cap and put it on my head. "My pleasure. Have a safe drive, my lady. Take care," he replied. I closed the glass window and buckled my seatbelt. They opened the enormous black coated steel gate, as I stepped the clutch, and shifted the gear from neutral to the first gear. I drove at slow speed until I passed through the gate. After that, I accelerated by stepping again on the clutch and added a little more gas. I changed it to the second gear up until the third gear to increase my speed as I went to the main road.

Inside the shop there were multitudes of gears that looked so beautiful and customised. The shopkeeper started introducing the gears to us and then he explained their usages and how much they were worth. After learning these things, I was content because we had achieved our goals for the day which meant that we could spend the remainder of time we had left on other things. As Zaria and I walked out the store, She said, “What did you think about the gears that we saw?”

The garage wasn't huge—maybe enough spaces for a couple dozen cars—but it was secure and private. I looked at the car key I'd picked up for the first time and saw what I was looking for. It was a BMW key and it looked new; no visible key was showing but I assumed it had one of those emergency keys inside the remote somewhere, I pressed the unlock button and I saw lights flash on a vehicle by the exit gate. I approached the car and was thoroughly impressed with what I was going to be driving.

I guess I never paid that much attention before, then again I'd never been in such a rush to get home before. After what seemed like an eternity I pulled up to the gates and put my thumb to the scanner to let me in. It may not be up to Tony Stark's standard but it's not bad. Once opened, I drove my black Mercedes-benz S-class into the six car garage and hooked it up to the electrical charge point.

Beyond was a garage. But it was not a normal one. It was small, stark, and lit by harsh white lights. Three vehicles waited. They were not the sleek, black cars I expected. One was a battered delivery van. One was a plain silver sedan. The last was a dirty white utility truck with a ladder on its roof. They looked ordinary. They looked invisible.
