Alpha Lucas’’s second chance

Alpha Lucas’’s second chance

His eyes met mine, pleading and hopeful. “Please come back,” Miracle said, her voice soft and sincere. “We need you.I need you. You're the best doctor there is and you're the only one who can make me feel better. Please come back" I swallowed hard, glancing between her and Lucas. My heart was torn. I wanted to believe her, to trust her words, but the wounds of the past were still fresh. And then there was Lucas. What if he somehow managed to convince her to do this, but then again, this is Miracle we're talking about. She's not one to bow to pressure, that knowledge was enough to reassure me that maybe this was genuine

Protecting My Mafia Princess: The Rise Of A Crime Boss

Protecting My Mafia Princess: The Rise Of A Crime Boss

But, there is something that I need to believe in… Miracles. Miracles are just second chances if you really think about it, second chances when all hope is lost. So yes, with each ticking second, my heart grows even more fearful; I fear that maybe all the seconds are up. I know that I should have faith, but how can you have faith if the person that you have faith in is the very person that is not here. Do I believe in miracles? I believe that a miracle is just pure coincidence that something has come together at a time you need it the most.

The Beta Test Luna

The Beta Test Luna

"We actually freed a god." The doors burst open again, and more people flooded in—family members, drawn by frantic phone calls. Lyra watched as a man who'd been in a coma for twenty years was reunited with a daughter who'd grown up without him. She watched as an elderly woman held the hand of her husband, lost to her for a decade. She watched as three hundred twenty-two miracles unfolded around her. And somewhere, in the spaces between, a newly awakened consciousness watched too. And learned. And grew.

In The Arms Of The Blind Don

In The Arms Of The Blind Don

Because one thing I had longed for more than anything else in this world was to see again. I kept my eyes shut, tightly, almost like forcing them open too quickly would shatter the miracle that had just touched me. But the truth was, I didn’t even believe in miracles. Not really. I had never been that man. I never thought things could just happen without a force behind it, an external, human force. Something logical. Something real. But if this was real… if I had truly seen that flash of light a few moments ago, then maybe everything I believed in was about to change. Maybe miracles did exist. Maybe they had just skipped over me for too long, and I stopped believing because I had never been

Bound by Voices

Bound by Voices

She’d grown into a calm young woman with the kind of presence that silenced storms. Her hair shimmered faintly under moonlight, and when she sang, crops grew greener. Some said she was a miracle. Others said she was a prophecy waiting for its price. Mira never called her either. > “You’re my daughter,” she’d remind her. “Not a god.” Solenne would smile. “You say that like you’re afraid I’ll believe otherwise.” “I’m afraid others will.” --- The old world’s religions had withered into myths, but something new had begun:

The Alpha Devil’s Dark Temptation

The Alpha Devil’s Dark Temptation

By the time Maureen finally stirred this morning, they were no longer just embryos. They were babies. Fully formed. Tiny hands opening and closing, chests rising with shallow breaths, white-gold hair drifting in the golden currents inside the pod like threads of captured moonlight. Three perfect, impossible miracles floating in my power. “Miracle…” The young doctor—Elias—breathed the word like a prayer, eyes wide and shining, hands trembling at his sides as if he feared the crystal might shatter if he blinked too hard. I smirked. A slow, sharp curl of my lip that didn’t reach my eyes.

Doctor Luna was Rejected

Doctor Luna was Rejected

The mouthpiece and grandmother stepped aside, allowing the children to rush forward, unable to stop them. The moment George’s hands touched her, Camilla’s eyes fluttered open as if his presence alone had breathed life back into her. Camilla drew in a deep, trembling breath, her eyes slowly focussing. “Mum!” Mira cried out, throwing herself onto her mother’s chest the instant her eyes met theirs. “Camilla!” Both the mouthpiece and Grandmother gasped in unison, their voices trembling with disbelief as they watched her return to life. “This is a miracle—a true miracle!” The mouthpiece shouted, his voice echoing through the room. “The divine power has smiled upon us!”

Alpha's Unloved Luna

Alpha's Unloved Luna

I stuttered, my words forming a question at the end, unsure if I made the right guess. “Where are my manners? I should have introduced myself first, shouldn’t I? My name is Selene, and yes, I am the Moon Goddess, the creator of your kind.” She replied with the same gentle smile. “I am sorry, I didn’t know.” I replied, bowing my head respectfully. “I just never thought I would meet you like this,” I added. I was sure my face must have turned red from embarrassment by now. “You have nothing to apologize for, Miracle. But I think it is now time for you to return.” She said her words made me stop in my tracks. I don’t think I am ready to go back just yet.

Midnight Shines
Dear readers, I'm so sorry for not being able to update for so long. I've been going through a lot in my personal life and wasn't able to focus on writing. I'm working on the new chapters and I promise the updates will start in a week. Thank you so much for loving my book and being patient with me.

Miracle is an appropriate name for her. It is a miracle that she survived to her 18th birthday. What puzzles me is why her parents didn't stop her older sister from torturing her since she was 8. It will probably be better explained farther ahead. All this and more, hints for a puzzling story.
