There was a scraping noise and Jyotsna said, “It’s like something heavy is being dragged” They looked at each other. Jyotsna couldn’t throw away the thoughts about vampires. She remembered Anwar saying to her about “bhulo’s” – ghost of lost travellers luring other travellers to their certain doom. Suddenly a pair of bright golden orbs came to life in the distance. They were floating two feet above the ground and swaying slightly. She was rooted to the spot, unable to move. Her lips trembled and the hairs on her spine rose up. A terrible thought came in her mind. What if they were lured by a bhulo? A swift wind ruffled her hairs and she started to cry, bawling at the top of her lungs.

"Don't dare touch me again or I'll kill you again." The male chuckles and rubs his hair. "I'm just like you... A ghost. So how can you possibly kill me? I came back just the same way you came back cause I can't let you hurt her even though I wish I can cause she's a silly female." Jalen rolls her eyes at him and relaxes but suddenly shudders when his other words dawned on her and all the hairs on her body started rising and goosebumps prickled at her skin. "Y..yo..u..both are ghosts?"

The smell of death hung in the air, but I ignored the feeling. Everything appeared strange. I could feel Ivy's presence in the room with them, but I couldn't see her. It didn't make sense as her scent and warmth lingered around me. I could even feel her gentle touch on my injured body. It was just like yesterday. Jasper's face was unusually sad and frightened. Jasper was a man of war and nothing made him afraid. I had always known him as an expert in masking his feelings, but that day was different. The stench of fear and grief radiated from him.

The incident today is the result of the two nimrods getting impatient, as the Mrs Holmes bait strategy hadn't worked so far. They were trying to knock you off your feet and pin you down, kicking and screaming, to try and pry as much information as they could out of you about Jasper. This will be the last time that you interract with those two unsavoury individuals. They quickly cut their losses and decide to pursue other channels, in regards to their investigation. Jasper Red, as you know, is a time traveller, and his activities have been noted and flagged up. His travels have been noted down and are the subject of an investigation that is being undertaken.

**Jade POV** Jasper nodded slowly; his eyes still illuminated in an eerie way. “We hid you and ran to help Mom and dad. We thought we’d be able to get back to you. We thought wrong. Jasper didn’t know what to do, he was so afraid. I was still dormant, but I managed to find the strength to take over and carry him through.” He was looking stoically only at me as if we were the only two people in the world. I could sense Cleo’s eyes on me, could hear her sobs, but somehow, I couldn’t break this eye contact.

Sasha didn't know if he was pretending or if that was really from his heart because it seemed way too genuine. The Logon people were happy to see them but the two siblings remained stoic as ever. Sasha began to feed him soup and he, without any resistance, took each spoon carefully. "How did this happen?" Fiona asked. "I don't know. Everything happened in a blur. I was standing fine when all of a sudden something attacked me and when I was in my senses again...I found myself in this condition." Jasper said. "Oh my god, could it be a ghost?" The granny nudged in with a gasp but immediately sealed her mouth with an apology and a little bow.

Blood surged to his head, his vision went dark, and he collapsed to the floor with a heavy thud. "Mr. Jasper!" Rory turned pale with fright. He tried to catch him but was a second too late. The room erupted into chaos as everyone rose to their feet. Javier shouted in panic, "Call an ambulance now!" Jasper lay on the floor, his body convulsing slightly. Just before his eyes closed, he caught a fleeting but unmistakable sight—Justin's face twisted in a subtle, dark, and triumphant smile. A sharp pain pierced Jasper's heart before he lost consciousness entirely.

“he was being nice, you know you can at least try to be nice back instead of barely talking.” “i’m not sorry, i don’t belong here.” doctor hiroshi just scoffs and shakes his head in annoyance. i got startled by the sudden gasp coming from jasper’s direction, his blue eyes bloodshot and wide, he scanned the room wildly. his eyes reminded me of kol’s but blue instead of a hazel green. “watch...you better learn belle.” hiroshi says.

June tells me. My eyebrows furrow. "Why are you showing me this?" "That new guy...The one who just so happened to show up in this town the day Jessica goes missing. The man that has an uncanny resemblance to the Alpha of all Phantom Wolves." My eyes automatically roll. "First, it is just a coincidence. Casper hasn't killed anyone. And Jasper doesn't have the same violet eyes, his are dark brown. And Phantom Wolves don't exist, let's just drop the subject of Jasper still being alive, and let him rest peacefully.

I spun, vision blurred with pain, and saw him. He burst into the clearing like a force of nature, his eyes blazing red, his body trembling with barely restrained fury. His hands twisted midair, morphing into clawed fists, half man, half beast. Power rolled off him in waves, suffocating and absolute, making the rogue wolves hesitate for the first time. And in that terrifying, impossible moment, the truth hit me. Jasper wasn't here for Bianca. He was here for me?
