With a sly grin, he stood just outside the room, casting his shadow onto the wall inside. Back at the dining table, Luna, Susan, and Zayn continued their animated discussion. They were so engrossed in their conversation that they didn't notice the slowly approaching shadow on the wall. Then, all at once, they saw it. A looming, mysterious silhouette that seemed to come out of nowhere. Fear overtook them, and in unison, they let out a collective, startled scream. "Ahhh! Ghost! It's a ghost in the house" Luna shouted, her eyes wide with terror.

Leon panted, scanning the dim corridor as his breath came in uneven bursts. Suddenly, a faint figure emerged out of the shadows—the female ghost. Her face was blurred and indistinct, her presence otherworldly. She didn’t speak but raised a hand that glowed faintly blue, pointing silently in a specific direction. Leon froze, instinctively stepping back half a pace. But time was slipping through his fingers, and hesitation was a luxury he couldn’t afford. Clenching his jaw, he forced himself to follow the ghost’s lead.

Skyler screeched to a halt, her face pale in terror. "Nom… Young girls taste the best." Ghost was licking the blood off his lips as he threw the corpse he had been holding with just one hand and grinned viciously. It was a girl just around seventeen, her expression frozen eternally in death after Ghost chewed through her throat. Seeing that she was not getting away, Skyler decided to talk and try to buy time. "Don't you see?! The power of the spiritron vein has consumed you!" That only left Ghost glowering. "And that's because your boss Torrent pushed me this far!"

The possessive way he fucked me like he both hated and needed me. I forced a grin. “You’re crazy, man. You watch too many movies.” He stepped aside but whispered as I passed, “Run while you still can. He’ll ruin you.” Later that day, I overheard two employees gossiping near the cafeteria. “Did you hear about The Ghost? Some billionaire who shows up masked at underground parties. Pays good money, fucks like a demon, then vanishes. Nobody ever sees his face.” I laughed it off again. But deep inside of me, i was worried for myself.

“On the second thought, be here tomorrow at exactly 6AM! Got that?!” Scott’s face grew solemn. He only nodded, turned against his heel, and left. He didn't have much choice when Kathleen blurted it that way—he had to believe he knows what he was doing and for a fact that he can’t do much as well with only limited information to what happened. He may have realized something supernatural is happening since the investigators can’t seem to find any lead at all. Logically, a person who’s bleeding to death will not disappear into thin air just like what actually happened to Samantha unless being looked at a different angle.

It showed a shadowy figure draped in dark robes. "He is known as Ghost." Interest flared within me as I took up the image, scrutinizing the elusive figure. "Could this be the same man who visited Aurora's grave?" I pondered aloud. "The unique thing about this man is that he has no scent. I've spoken to people who've encountered him," Leo added.

“I’m sorry, Liam. I don’t know how to sense them because I’ve never seen a ghoul before.” “Damn it,” Liam mutters under his breath, tightening his grip on my shoulder. “We need to get out of here. Fast.” Before I can even process what Liam is saying, the ghouls appear out of nowhere. Their ghostly figures seem to appear and disappear almost like a mirage, and their shrieking fills the air. Fear takes over me, especially when I hear a voice inside of my head say, ‘Purple-eyed wolf. I want to feast on your blood and take your powers!’

Sabrina gave him a thumbs up. “We’ll do our best to make this as painless as possible,” Sally the anchor said. “Now, most of us have heard of the mysterious criminal known only as, ‘Ghost’. True crime junkies, internet chat rooms, YouTube channels, podcasts… some much time has been dedicated in trying to find out anything about him. Why do you suppose that is?”
