Romans & histoires Gidan Uncle Hausa Novel 20

Her mother sighed, wondered how to start this story that left distaste in one's mouth. "Do you know B.B Bakura?" Their faces changed at the supposedly unrelated question the old lady asked. "Have you no eyes?" She asked harshly in Hausa making the recipients of her words flinch. They had eyes, they just had never put that kind of two and two together. "Can you not see that nose Labeebah is carrying around is a replica of that Kanuri boy B.B Bakura?" Labeebah's aunt blinked over and over like a doll, wondering how her sister ever even entangled herself with the current Vice President.

I punched the bridge of my nose and rubbed my temples, telling the stress that had chained me to release me from it's shackles. Jade's turn and she told a story that had already been written by some author known as Godwin Hosanna Aga. The book was named in the deep and it was about some girl named Hephzibah and it was pretty interesting and scary the way my baby sister had told it with a touch light under her chin, illuminating her face and weird canines. "And that is, in the deep!" Jade screamed, stomping her feet on the floor and howling like a wolf.

I walked and sat in the middle of my parents while my uncle opened the floor. "Ékààró óó gbógbó ílé, órúkó mí ní Zacheaus Dare, mó dé kí yín. It's amazing to have with us, our oyimbo people who have come to ask for the hand of our daughter in marriage." He welcomed us in Yoruba and I looked to see Ethan wearing a white laced agbada. He looked amazing. I turned my gaze to his parents feeling bad that my uncle was speaking in Yoruba but they had amused faces on, besides we had a translator. (Good morning everyone, my name is Zacheaus Dare and I greet a of you) "Éyín àrà Dare, sé mà gbà fún wàn, tàbí é ní gbà" ( Dare family, do you accept them or do you not)

There, standing menacingly outside the gates, was my uncle, shouting into a phone as a group of large men loitered nearby. Heart racing, I paid the driver and slowly approached my uncle. He turned, his eyes darkening at the sight of me. "What are you doing here?" I snapped, fists clenched by my sides. "And who told you where we live?" He let out a bark of laughter, his voice booming over the quiet neighborhood. "Do you think you could hide this from me, Cassandra? Do you think I wouldn't find out?" He jabbed a finger towards me, his face twisted in a snarl. "Selfish, ungrateful girls, the both of you! You and your pathetic mother! Hiding here like cowards! I deserve a share of this newfound

"Sofia. Daddy is here. Can you talk to your mom for me? Tell her not to do this. I do not want a divorce." Leonardo thought Sofia would soften. Sofia used to be the one who ran to Leonardo every time Leonardo came home, wrapping her arms around Leonardo's legs, calling "Daddy" over and over. But this time, Sofia just stepped half a pace behind me. Quietly, Sofia said, "Uncle Leonardo, you should go take care of your other kid. Do not bother me and my mom anymore." Leonardo went rigid. Leonardo's hand hung in the air. "Sofia, I am your daddy. Why are you calling me uncle?"

“its not your mouth that is saying, I do not see why you are being offended?” I pulled my earphones and plugged them in. The drive to aunt Lisa's house was quiet. I turned to digest what had happened.my uncle had asked me remove my bra and I had. "We are here," he said as he pulled at her house. The house was quite huge. I can't believe she lives here all alone and a chill ran down my spine, I was going to be here with him alone. "we are going to be here for a while.” He muttered more to himself than I.
