Without waiting for an answer, Gideon snatched the notebook out of Jaxon’s hands with startling speed. Flipping it open, he scanned its pages, his initial shock quickly giving way to a wicked grin.
“I thought you were just an obsessive little note-taker,” Gideon said, waving the notebook mockingly. “But it turns out your ‘inspiration’ is quite... abstract, isn’t it?”
Jaxon turned fully now, his expression colder than ever as his eyes fixed on the book in Gideon’s hand.
