The Book of Mara

The Book of Mara

- I responded back, burying my thoughts deep. My face flushed realizing that he had been able to pick up these X-Rated thoughts so easily since I had been so deep into it. The book hadn't helped at all to keep my mind on my task for the day. It had been the equivalent of "See Spot Run" in the Draygonian world. Nerrian rolled his eyes and closed the book. He set it off to the side on a pile of books that never quite made it back to his shelves. I don't think this will work today. Nerrian admitted shaking his head.

HIS VICIOUS REVENGE | BOOK 2

HIS VICIOUS REVENGE | BOOK 2

Silence lingered between them. The rest of the flight was quiet as Kevin sat in another seat at the back busy signing documents and discussing business matters while Emma read a book and intermittently looked out the window watching the scenery below and sometimes stealing a glance back at him and caught him looking at her. After an hour, Kevin walked to her, checking on her as she drifted off to sleep. The leather-bound book she was reading lay open on her lap, the words written on its open page clearly visible; “If I know what love is, it is because of you!" Kevin smiled and then put the book aside. There was no lie in it.

I fear the author is not well, as I ve been serching on various platforms, hoping to find the end of the story. It s how I found out the author s name, and the fact that she is not active on her accounts any more. The book is by far the best I ve read by now. Author , please answer of you are ok.

When my shift ended, I found myself walking toward the corner table where Kael sat, his laptop closed now, a book in his hands. I stopped short when I saw the cover. ‘Knot We Cannot Untie.’ That was the book he was holding. I can't believe that Kael would be reading one of Linda Lively’s books. “You read… this?” I said, the surprise evidently in my voice. Kael looked up, one brow raised. “Why? You think I only read racing magazines and bank statements?” I gave a small laugh. “Chill bro. It’s just… not what I was expecting ”

Defying the Comments: The Rise of a Female Mogul

"Oh my God! Is the side piece about to become the heroine?" "The plot is off the rails!" "Did you see the author's note? He rewrote the ending and even changed the story's title!" "So sweet! I'm all for it! This is exactly the kind of heroine I love!" Gideon's expression shifted, and he looked straight at me. "Did you... see anything weird?" My chest tightened. "What do you mean?" His brow knit. "Maybe it's the stress, but I keep seeing words floating in the air."

Alpha's Assassin

Alpha's Assassin

’ Gideon asks, his wolf nudges a small shelf lined with books that all look handwritten, the pages are yellowing telling me it's old and when I pick up one of the copies I find the pages greasey like it's been handled too many times. ‘The Holy Bible: How God wants a pure world.’ I read for Gideon; it's hard to keep the disgust out of my voice, of course God has been dragged into this. Look at any point in human history and you will find religion as the reason why men hurt others. I holster my gun; knowing Gideon is standing guard allows me to flick through the Bible without care for my surroundings. The first page is all about how God created the world, nothing I haven’t read in an old Bible

The Hybrid's War: Book 2

The Hybrid's War: Book 2

“Are you guys ready to finally do as we were formed to do?” My eyes glared at Callighan as he lifted his head up to the sky. Once that loud howl came from him, we all prepared ourselves as the wolves charged at us altogether. All we could do was fight to our hearts desire. One charged at me and right when I thought life was over for me, the gunshots came right after him. Pow! Pow! Pow! Pow! However, those shots were not enough… -To Be Continued- The End of Book 2

Cursed by the Gods: Cleopoda CBTG Book 1

Cursed by the Gods: Cleopoda CBTG Book 1

Twice Cleopoda had wiped at the blood that dripped from her nose to the brown pages of the old book in front of her. She was grateful Garius wasn’t looking, sometimes the old man would be busy looking through the old books to care whether she read or not. But she read, she read because Garius asked her questions at the end of every session and he hit her cruelly and with frustration whenever she failed to answer correctly. It wasn’t easy to read the almost faded symbols and scripts from the old brown books, mouth the words which meaning she didn’t know and at the same time try to halt the voices in her head, they were so loud sometimes, they made her head ache and caused her nose to bleed bu

 The Better Place

The Better Place

*** Gideon was having a quick nap in his simple styled office in his large jewelry store when a knock was heard at the door Interrupting him from his nap. " Come in. " He instructed the knocker and soon the door opened to reveal his Assistant, Joshua Miller. " Sorry to disturb you, Sir. " " It's okay..so what have you got? " " It's a letter from the court," he replied as he handed a small envelope to him. " Court? " Gideon asked in bewilderment. Why would he possibly get a letter from the court when he hadn't done anything deserving of it. Or so he thought.

The Book of Deceive

The Book of Deceive

I slowly entered, searched around and found the book I searched for. Somewhere, in the upper part of the library, I walked between rows of dusty, old tomes. When I turned I saw a man that was approaching. “We met again, my friend!” the monk said. “Aye,” I replied. “What have you been doing, since we went our ways?” “Finishing the battle of Kaihon, do you want to read it?” “Yes.” “I have a finished version,” the monk gave me the tinny book. I found a place to sit and started to read:

Falling For My Devil CEO Husband

"A court of thorns and roses." Frowning, I took back the book from him. "What's the book all about?" I twitched my lips. "It's a fantasy romance." "Fantasy? Like Harry Potter?" I frowned. "Harry Potter is not a romance book—" I stopped when Gideon gripped hard on the table. "Gideon!" His other hand was clutching his head. "Damn!" He groaned hard while gritting his teeth. His entire face was obviously in pain. "Are you okay?" I knelt in front of him. This looked different from the occasional headache he used to experienced the past three weeks.

Frequently Asked Questions

I'm assuming we're talking about the science fiction series by a certain author. If that's the case, you're in for a ride. Their debut novel, 'Gideon the Ninth', is absolutely where you jump in. It's the first of the Locked Tomb series and really the only logical entry point.

I'll be real, the first hundred pages can feel like being thrown into the deep end. You've got all these necromancers and their knights with these bizarre bone magic terms and a Gothic space castle setting. It's confusing on purpose, I think, to mirror the main character's own fish-out-of-water perspective. Once you accept you're not meant to understand everything immediately, the wild plot and that incredible, snarling dynamic between Gideon and Harrow just pulls you through. Starting anywhere else would ruin the mystery.

Honestly, if you bounce off 'Gideon the Ninth', the rest of the series probably isn't for you anyway. It sets the tone for everything that follows.
