Gifts For Grumpy Old Man Novels & Stories

He looked like a celebrity. Grace gestured for Luke to put the gifts down. "Please accept these gifts. It's not an extravagant one. It's just for your health." The man glanced at it. Every one of the gifts she had given him cost more than a thousand dollars, yet she had said that they weren't expensive at all. "You shouldn't have. I don't need this." Grace felt rather awkward when she saw that the man had no intention of inviting her to sit down. "You saved me, and these gifts are only a simple expression of my gratitude. If you need help in the future, you can come to me at any time. I'm—"

the white-haired man said full of emotion. "No. I'm the one who should be thanking you, Grandpa. Thanks to you, I can feel happy and proud because I have a grandfather who is so cool and spectacular," the grandson replied while widening the curve of his lips. Receiving the compliment that seemed odd, Mr. Hunt spontaneously snorted. “Stop your bullshit, Julian. This senile disease isn't cool at all," he grumbled, hitting his head with one palm. "I'm just a very troublesome old man."

They came here for connections after all. The invited people took turns to congratulate the old man in white hanfu. When Michael and Mathew approached the old man, Maverick stomped his cane. "You two fools! Only visiting me now! If I don't celebrate my birthday, you two won't visit me for a year?! When will you come if not for my birthday? At my funeral?!" The old man was sulky and was carrying grievance towards his two sons.

“Right! That’s why I will treasure the things you gave me, but…” The old master was determined. He stuffed the thing in her hand again. “This is a gift from me to my granddaughter-in-law. You can’t reject this.” “But…” The old master did not let her continue. He added, “It’s not something expensive. It wouldn’t even sell over a thousand bucks if you decided to put it out in the market. This is a keepsake for the eldest daughter-in-law of the Winters. Your mother-in-law has one, and now you should have one too.”

I knock on the door as I hear small thumps coming from the inside. “Good afternoon, Jamie,” I greeted an elder around 80 years old, with large glasses, a floral skirt and a white blouse, with a cane right beside her. “Hello dear,” She says as she looks towards the bag. “I see you got my gift.” “Yes, thank you. You don’t have to buy me gifts. You should take care of yourself.” She shakes her head, “I can take care of myself. That’s just a tiny gift. I know how much you love oranges.”

Robert handed Grandpa his present, he opened it only to discover a black tuxedo, A diamond watch and some silly looking shoes. "Where do you even think I will wear this Robert, am old and barely able to leave my room" he commented, I understood him somehow, I mean, it would have made a lot more sense if he bought him something else "Grandpa, you have everything money can possibly buy, I didn't know what to get you" Robert told him, "Despite being my favorite Grandson, you sure a bad present giver" the old man said making us all laugh. Just then, I got out a paper from my hang bag and handed it to him

I was home alone, drowning in my self-inflicted heartbreak. I poured myself coffee, but my thoughts stayed tangled in the night before—his expression when I said I need to think. He must have been so hurt… and it was all my fault. I needed to make it right. I opened my laptop and searched: “Apology gifts for grumpy older man with high fashion taste” on Reddit. The results were quite wild. I scrolled for minutes and finally decided on something simple but meaningful—a designer watch. One I could afford. Vince always wore sleek timepieces, and I figured it was a gift he’d actually use. Something elegant, like him.

He bragged. The whole room erupted into laughter and applause, and when everywhere died down, he continued. “My grandson always gave me my favorite gift every year” and his eyes stopped on me for a second before he continued. “This year, Simone beat him and gave me the best gift I’ve received in a very long time” the cheers were up loudly this time, and I found myself wondering what Simone got him. I knew it would not be something expensive, because that wasn’t gramps style of a present. Gramps loved when presents are not just expensive but meaningful, holding value and comfort.

Penny smiled and thanked Aunt Gloria. Michaela smiled brightly, then she gave Penny the Bliss Sherpa Throw blanket and Onirique Table Lamp. Penny hugged her and thanked her. Aunt Stella gifted Penny the SMEG Retro Style Coffee Maker. Penny smiled brightly and thanked her. Then it was Storm’s turn. He smiled at Mr Earl and said, “I decided to buy the massage chair for you. It will help you to reduce stress and relax your muscles.” Mr Earl smiled and thanked Storm. Mr Saxon Senior gifted Mr Earl an Ocean landscape painting. It evoked a sense of peace. Mr Earl shook Mr Saxon Senior and thanked him.

"Grandfather, this is your gift!" "Humph! You used to cry to cover things up and now you want to use gifts to curry favor with me? I'm not falling for that!" The old man purposely rolled his eyes and huffed in feigned anger. "Grandfather, you forgave me in the past. Forgive me one more time?"
