Night Slayer

Night Slayer

The two bloodsuckers Mikali was holding at gunpoint in a dark cavern looked exactly like what Jo had been imagining when she’d picked out two potential snitches in her mind. Both of them were groveling on the ground, sweat pouring from their undead foreheads as they pleaded with the Guardian to let them go. Mikali was glaring at them, standing at his full height, which had to be at least six three since he towered over Jo, alternating the target at the end of his Beretta from one sniveling bastard to the other.

The story starts with a good prologue where the main character defines herself as the son of the family. While reading I thought it was one of those stories that I could predict what would happen next which wasn't the case. It surprises you in a positive way. Catchy! Waiting for the next chapters!

Falling for the alpha dominant

Annie went out. “May I know your name, please.” Nisha asked. “What the hell are you doing here?” The man yelled. “If you do not tell me your name, I won't say a thing. And I'm sure you're curious to know what's going on. Even your wife doesn't know what I plan to do.” Nisha said. “I'm Gilbert, so what are you here for?” He asked. “So, Gilbert, you beat your wife up and make her life miserable, UHF!” Nisha said.

His eyebrows were raised up as if they were parts of his vocal organs. “You haven’t eaten the food I placed on the table?” Sarah said as she sauntered to the sitting room. “Yes, Sarah. I am going through this historical book. I will munch the food when I am done,” Gilbert said, and flipped to the next page. “What do you want to get from this photo book? It contains records of the past…,” Sarah said and sat down on one of the sofas. The sofa was very close to where Gilbert was sitting. Gilbert was muted for about six seconds. He finally spoke with gestures, “look at this picture; it’s the Lord of the Moon. My father told me the Lord of the Moon is magnanimous. My father also said he wanted to

She giggled at the end. “I got into your head so I could fully see your dreams and explain them better to you. You have been having these awful nightmares because you are yet to accept who you are. You have chosen to hurt yourself believing that your father's death was caused by you. That is NOT true. You are blessed with a gift directly given to you by the Moon goddess. It is a gift that will enable you to control the forces of nature, a blessing so volatile that it could be a deadly curse. Take the scepter, it is yours!!”. The last words rang repeatedly in my head, echoing till I blacked out.

This better be successful because I have everything to loss if this fails, including Natalie. I lay in bed that night hoping, listening for any sound that my human ear can hear. Waiting for there arrival. Slowly the hours tickle away and it is soon approaching dawn before I hear the first roar of the monsters as they all return home. I jump out of bed and race out into the backyard to see a sight I had not expected.

Dark of Night

Dark of Night Copyright 2019 Emily Goodwin Chapter One “What do you see when you look at this one?” The doctor holds up a card, showcasing an ink splotch that’s twisted and creepy, with eyes that follow you no matter where you go. I look at it, heart hammering away inside my chest. The mess of ink on the white paper reminds me of the monster that lurks in Nana and Papa’s basement, the one that tried to get Abby and Scott to go downstairs with it.
