“It's not over yet, Dean. Not by a long shot.” **** Dear Reader, I very much hope that you enjoyed following the individual and group stories of the ‘Unseen Enemy’ characters. With this book, their stories officially conclude, since ‘Solid Gold’ is the final book in this series. Thank you so much for falling in love with these characters and for caring about their stories... I love them and am having a hard time saying goodbye to them once and for all so maybe (just maybe!) you'll catch little glimpses of them in some of my other books, every once in a while.

I turned it to the side where there is no dirt and wipe the book using it. I saw a black cover with gold linings and designs. I touch the ribbons that are placed in some of the pages. There are symbols located at the bottom part of the cover, carved and painted in the color of gold, but I don’t understand what it means. I looked at the back but there were just designs. I tried opening it but there’s a metal lock on the side. Huh? Was this… a secret book? It kinda looked like a grimoire.

Odd since the royal family barely lifted a hand around here. There were large gold plated shelves all over the room, way more than I could hope to count, that contained books of all kinds, history, music, mysticism, astrology, and books of Lycan law. The spines of each book was so beautiful, I couldn’t help but touch each one I passed. "Elora! Isn't this delightful?" Lucy squealed like a happy child. "This place is beautiful." I replied, absent mindedly. I was totally lost in the beauty of the books.

I will want him to abandon the mafia life but since I'm not sure of him, whether he'll be my forever, I can't say or do anything. We walk upstairs to the golden library, it's written so on top of it. The door is gold and giant, I believe this is the reason it's named so but when the door is pushed open and I see the interior, everything is gold, the book shelves and the ceiling, a gold chandelier stands in the midst, suspending from the ceiling, giving it powerful rays of light on the entire room. I feel this' my best place. "I think I can take a book from here?"

He reached up, gently touched the blood on her lip. “The Auditor,” Dante whispered. “The bone bread. The Pantry.” “You remember?” June asked, tears streaming down her face. “I remember everything,” Dante said. He pulled her close. “The rewind… it didn’t work. We stayed together.” Marcus and Raven got to their feet, looking exhausted but grinning. “That was close,” Marcus said. “I almost forgot how to do math for a minute.” June checked her belt. The Golden Book was still there, but it had changed. The cover wasn’t gold anymore—it was dark, rich soil. The pages were thin slices of dried wood. The book felt alive.

We follow him to the library where Buppig has been teaching me my lessons every day. I stop beside Buppig as Ailduin walks to one of the library walls. He pulls down a small book, bringing it back to the table where we’re standing. The book may be small, but it is ornate, with a hard cover that feels like it's made of gold and etchings made of a lighter shade of gold. “Have a seat.” He says as he opens the book. He turns it toward me. “Read that. Out loud, please.”

​The rolling ladder groaned under our combined weight as we ascended toward the central pillar’s peak. Below us, the Gilded Press looked like a clockwork heart, its brass gears and mahogany veins pulsing with the weight of uncounted secrets. ​Damian climbed behind me, his breath hitching with every vertical lunge. I could feel the heat of his presence, a steady anchor in a world that was currently falling apart. When we reached the "Archivist Prime" drawer, I didn't hesitate. I pulled the brass handle.

Claus said and she halted at the spot while Hayley and Marcus left. “What do you want?” “Tell me the truth about your friend Hayley Michael.” “What is the crow?” Justin asked as they walked into the castle's library. “Patience.” Lelia uttered. Such a magnificent chamber showered with gleams of the sunlight. It was a wonderful part of the castle, the bookshelves were as tall as the walls, and the books had special covers. They were mostly gold and red, but there was this one that caught Janeka's attention. It had a black thick leather cover and a golden seal on its top.

The Gifted Hybrid. I was stunned at the title. It took my interest. I tried to flip the cover of the book but it won't open. I frowned when I saw something surround the book. Like there was a spell covering it. I put the book down on my bed when I saw something left inside the black box. There was a big gold anchor/ship wheel necklace that just fit my hands. It glowed when in contact with my hands. I feel like the necklace is mine because the scythe was also glowing. I took the scythe and looked as it shines so bright. I let out a gasp when the scythe transformed into a round object. Then I noticed the cover of the book, it has a hole round shape in it and an anchor then ship wheel in it.
