I knew there was a Tanzanian baddie underneath all that rock face she put on display. I just had no one to talk to about it.

Then I will just have to kill all three of you at once." The dagger in her hand was made from Moonstone fragments. I could feel them calling to the pieces in our chests and the resonance made my teeth ache.

The sudden silence in the kitchen was deafening. It didn't help nearly as much as it usually did. The ghost of his touch, the lingering scent of cedar and spice, and the terrifying realization of how easily he could unravel her remained, wrapping around her like a dark, thorny vine.
