Who would have thought that stealing secret glances at a man at the park would lead me to utter blissful happiness, but it did. Thank you to my wonderful readers for coming on this journey with me. Darryl’s smile fades as he looked at his brown eyes, remembering the first time he really looked into them. “What’s wrong?” Goldie asks as he shows Darryl the book. “You really want that?” He asked again, taking the book from his hands, “You could’ve chosen Harry Potter or something.” “Yes, I want this,” Goldie replies shortly. Darryl looks at the book cover and looks back at Goldie. “I guess it suits you.” After paying for their items, the two males exit the bookstore. Darryl looks at his phone’s clock and realized that it was almost time for lunch. He turns to Goldie and asks,

Well, while I caught my breath. While Orion scanned our surroundings, peering through the narrow gaps in between each shelf to the maze beyond, I found myself looking over the books at our backs. There were tombs both big and small, thick and thin, bound in various types of leathers and fabrics. Some had thick layers of dust clinging to them, while others appeared almost new. Another shelf moved, opening a path directly ahead of us. Towards the bottom sat a book that glowed, emitting a golden light brighter than that of the torches. It pulsated, flickering and dancing, and I had the strangest thought that it was calling out to me.

It slashed through the night sky, sweeping a terrifying force toward them. All three of them were subjected to extremely oppressive forces. When the blade glow was blasted at them, they all spread out into the area. The cave was split apart by that blade’s glow. A loud bang was heard, followed by the rise of a black light pillar into the sky. A black book was seen flying into the sky while trapped in the pillar. “The Glinting Tome!” The trio spread in the area soared into the air as soon as they saw this book. Tyr appeared at the crucial moment with his body surrounded by the golden runes. He turned into a stream of light as he rushed up to the tome.

Her eyes widened as she read the faded words etched onto it: The Curse of the Moonstone. Opening it, her hands shook, but once her fingers glided onto the pages, a strange, pungent sensation conquered her. It felt as though her hand was stuck to, almost attached to the book. She tugged on it to pull it back, but it just would not move, as the book held onto her. These pages started to glow, and from the words spilt a soft, golden light. She stared, transfixed, as the glow intensified and the letters rearranged themselves to form new words right before her eyes.

Rowyn POV “This one looks ancient as fuck,” I muttered, dragging a dusty, leather bound beast of a book towards me. The cover had a silver sigil that pulsed faintly, like it was breathing. Kyren leaned over. “It’s humming.” “No shit,” I said, flipping it open. Aster whistled low. “Uh… Rowyn? That page is glowing.” Yeah. No kidding. The script wrote itself as we watched, ink blooming across the yellowed parchment like spilled wine.

I touch its glass cover and to my surprise, it vanishes in just a snap. The book floats mid-air and emits blinding light. It starts glowing and the pages start to turn. A few moments afterward, the pages stop turning. The glow starts to vanish, and the book moves toward my hand. Just like the book I was reading earlier, it has a leather hardbound cover and its title are embroidered with gold. 'The Untold' I said as I've read the title. I turn the cover and start reading once again. ----- THIRD PERSON’S POINT OF VIEW

I didn’t have to bother for long as a book suddenly began to glow so brightly that I was almost blinded. I staggered back. My heart was racing. I was creeped out by the strange things happening but still, I felt inclined to pick up the glowing book. I hesitated for a few seconds before reaching out for the glowing book. Immediately I touched it, the glow disappeared. I glanced at the book in my hands. It was a pink diary. Curiosity flashed through my eyes. Why is a diary stacked among books and why did it lead me here? I opened up the first page. It had only one sentence.

A book was sticking out from the shelf above us, its spine a glimmering gold that seemed to catch the light. My eyes widened, and I pointed up at it. “Look!”
