She chanted, her eyes still closed. The book before started glowing making the seal unlocked and the book opened to the middle. Glinda opened her eyes, looking at the blank page of the book. Just then, writing started appearing on the blank page. " Tonight is the night of the full moon " Glinda read out and almost immediately, the writing started erasing off by itself. Glinda's eyes widened in horror and she sprang up. " Axion " She mumbled. ×. ×. ×

I kept walking toward the back wall then I saw something strange. A soft golden glow appeared between two massive bookshelves I walked past a thousand times. It was a hidden section. The books here looked ancient, their leather spines shimmering faintly. Titles like The Touch of Shadows, Bound by Moonlight, and Whispers After Dark seemed to pulse with their own light. My fingers trembled as I reached out and pulled one book from the shelf. It felt warm, almost alive. I was so curious to see so I opened it slowly.

Lagos, Nigeria – July 18, 2035, 6:42 p.m. The bookstore was packed—folding chairs full, people standing along the walls, air thick with perfume, paper, and Lagos heat. Banner above the small stage: “GLOW AFTER THE FIRE – A Conversation with Chinedu Okonkwo.” Chino sat beside the moderator, copy of his book in hand—cover simple: two shadows holding each other under a single bulb, Lagos lights faint in the background. Title in bold white: Glow After the Fire.

The banner still burned above the atrium ceiling. Moore / Calder Bright. Unyielding. A symbol Briarcrest believed it had forged. Nyx looked back at Alaric. “Here’s the real question,” she said. “What question?” Her smile sharpened slightly. “When we break…” Thunder rumbled faintly beyond the academy walls. “what else breaks with us?”

“We could surely use them.” She nodded and sighed into his chest, blowing her warm breath into his shirt. “Agreed. But I don’t know how we could ever go about finding one; they look just like you and me.” His teeth bit into the inside of his lip as he thought and slid his fingers up and down her arm. “What else do you know about them?” Her shoulders shrugged, but then she pushed up from his chest. “Wait! There is something. They glow.” She sat up out of his arm and looked at the bookshelf. “That’s right! The shine.” She jumped up from the chair, rushed to the shelf, and went from book to book until her fingers found the correct title. “This one. Can you get it, please?”

Upon closer inspection, I saw a book spine glowing with my blue magic. The light vanished when I touched the book, and I read the title: Lupinotuum Encyclopaedia.
