“What the bloody hell is that?” I moved away from Ryker, my eyes were solely fixated on the book. Wiping away the shattered glasses, I did not care if it would hurt me. Once it was clean, I read the book to Ryker. “It is the Book of The Damned.” All I wanted was to get a hold of that book and satisfy my curiosity but when I did, I could feel the power surging from the book, my hands were painfully attached to it. Then the book opened, forcing my palm to hold it up the pages started to flip rapidly. So many images flashed through my mind but none of which I recalled. The book slammed shut and I blinked. I turned to Ryker and swallowed before finding my voice to speak, “Did you see that?”

The cover is simple, with nothing but the illustration of red circles within a circle at the bottom half, and the name “Dante” written on the top half. He picks it up and inspects it, trying to read other words on the back of the book. He was able to process some of the words, but could not understand the whole paragraph.

It was not easy to find the right one among so many books and roles, but after three hours of tireless search, he stumbled upon something. While Godric was looking through scrolls and books, he noticed a small book in one of the back rows. One might think that it was hidden extra deep, since it could not be found at first and even second glance. Godric reached for the hidden treasure and pulled the book out from among all the others. It was a small, almost crumbled book. The book cover testified to a long time and when Godric opened it, a cloud of dust came towards him. Tomorrow night come hell or high water we would take Vargr down. I had eighteen Gladiators that I was able to initiate last night, and I’ll be damned but each one that became pack was able to link with me. Their chips were still active, so they couldn’t shift, but whatever loophole granted us to be able to communicate mentally, I was thankful for. I didn’t have to understand it; I just had to accept it. This made shit a whole heck of a lot easier. Two Gladiators went into the ring and only one came out. The one that died was not a great loss. It happened to be one of the men who tried to violate Rogue, one that I had not initiated and had no intentions to.

All she needed was glue… Natasha opened the drawer under the desk to find the glue but accidentally bumped into a book. She frowned and took out the book. The edges of the pages had turned reddish-brown. The book cover's luster had also worn off. The creases on the book corners and the paper scraps stuck inside the book indicated that the book's owner had flipped through it countless times. Her gaze faltered for a moment, and the corner of her mouth turned up slightly in a smile. The more she tried to numb herself, the more he appeared.

I blink several times as I take out the book and see purple tentacles on the cover. I blink and flip through it. flip through it. Holy crap. This is not the last Slade Gray book. Things happen in this book that blow my mind. Things happen in this book that blow my mind. eight fucking dicks? I feel the floor drop out from under me when a thought occurs to me. thought. My fucking soul mate thinks I read this shit. There's only one, maybe two men brave enough to do this shit to me.

The book still continues and the suspense is about getting hotter.
