They were a private security force whose only job was to protect the Whales family. Inside the large master bedroom on the second floor, the air was warm and quiet. The room smelled of roses and fresh jasmine. Chloe stood in front of a wide, gold-framed mirror. She wore a long ice-blue silk dress that swept softly across the thick white rug with every movement. A string of natural pearls rested around her pale throat, just above the silver heart pendant hanging from its delicate chain. Her blonde hair fell over her shoulders in flawless, glossy waves, carefully styled by three personal maids who had spent two hours combing, curling, and pinning every single lock into place.

"The Millers are frauds." ​I felt a surge of something I hadn't felt in years. Power. Not the kind that comes from a bank account or a family name, but the kind that comes from the truth finally catching up to a lie. ​Chloe stood in the center of the chaos, her back to Jax, her chin tilted up like she was surveying a kingdom she had just set on fire. Chapter One Chloe’s POV "Arrgggg...fuck." He pounded faster and harder, my hands were clenched to the sheets as he kept on penetrating. "I think I'm going to come." Deciding that he won't do any damage, Katcha gives him a wary look before disappearing into her bathroom. It doesn't take her more that 15 minutes to change, and she reemerged from her bathroom, finding Goldie balancing himself on his new footwear. Katcha looks up at him and places her hands on her hips. "Wow, look at you," She commends, "I'd love to give you strutting lessons, but we have to talk about our plans with Leonardo."

Clara grabbed onto my neck, holding tight and kept echoing her pleas for a rescue. Ares hit the wall and glanced over his shoulder, his nostrils flaring. "Down," he ordered Clara. She fell to the forest floor, tears pouring. The shield to Vermillion in front of us fizzled away and Zale stared back a wild gleam in his eyes. "What the fuck is going on, Bo?"

Chloe, on the other hand, flung open a sleek black chest like she was unveiling treasure. “Alright, goddess,” she announced, eyes gleaming. “Let’s make them stare.” “What is that?” I asked, jaw nearly unhinging at the pile of glimmering fabric and draped pearls. “Your skirt,” Chloe grinned wickedly. “Well… your almost-skirt.” My heart stuttered. Cherry gasped. “Y’all are NOT playing.”

The Breaking Point The music roared toward its conclusion, and Lulu was practically vibrating with excitement. She was Chloe’s most vocal advocate, her screams of "Goddess!" echoing off the soundproofed walls. "Chloe! I love you! You’re the only queen in Sea City!" Chloe, exhilarated by the movement and the music, let the mask of the "perfect socialite" slip. She executed a final, sharp twist of her hips, her long hair fanning out like a silken wing. As she slowed to the beat, she caught Lulu’s eye, bit her lip playfully, and threw a wink that was so full of unadulterated charm it seemed to stop time.

The diamond arced through the air, clattered onto Chloe’s tray table, and bounced to the floor. “I don’t want it.” CRACK Her palm exploded against my cheek. The force snapped my head to the side. I stumbled, the taste of copper in my mouth. An attendant caught my arm. “Ms. Lopez, please, just let it go.” “We’ll find the diamond for you.” Chloe sneered. “You dare refuse a gift?” CRACK My own hand flashed out. The sound was louder, harder. Chloe reeled back, crashing into her seat, a sharp cry ripped from her throat.

The queen sure knew how to attract danger for her. "Chloe, we can leave now," Jared whispered. Chloe put up a hard face. "She wanted to kill me through those who see me as a dangerous weapon." Her shaking hand suddenly stopped as she looked at Jared with a secretive smile. There's something in her eyes that her friends couldn't decipher. "Let's bring it on." "...I am honored to present to you. The 27th Blood Star, Chloe Liu." The buzz from the audience began to become louder. Jared tightened his hold on Chloe but the latter moved away from him. "Chloe," Barbie hissed.

Her Louboutin high heels stomped steadily across the glass debris, straight towards the center of her husband's angry storm. "Miss! Don't come any closer! He doesn't recognize anyone!" Arthur tried to get up with a gasp. But Chloe Vanguard never backed away from death. The pure-blooded ice queen businessman walked over while Alexander was groaning wildly, preparing to destroy the main pillar supporting the lobby. "Alexander," Chloe called. His voice wasn't loud, but the pulse of his intellectual dominance cut through the din like a silver razor.
