I walk up to the fox and it again rubs against my chest, walks away down the tunnel, then disappears. “Alright, down the creepy tunnel we go. Looks like we are on our own from here,” I tell Gabriel. “Everyone be on alert, I can feel the presence of several witches and warlocks,” says Dimitri. We continue down the cave. Water is dripping from stalagmite on the ceiling. “Furtim,” whispers Gabriel. I no longer hear our footsteps. Besides the water dripping it’s silent. “Derek look up,” says Mark. I look up and see sleeping bats everywhere. We really don’t want them to get startled, they may end up alerting our presence.

They all stood there hovering, the goblins who were at the front had seen this and stopped, but the ones behind who could not see only carried on walking forwards and this all lead to the wave of goblins to continue to advance. Taking a small deep breath, Noah released his earthen spikes. They all tore across the cave and smashed into the goblins cutting through the first few lines and sending many more flying away. He did not stop there though and quickly conjured up more and more. The spikes constantly screech through the air and tear through the screeching goblins.

I inhaled and moved forward. Nearing the goblins I could hear their snitches and incomprehensible words. I sealed my lips tight afraid that I let out any sounds that would possibly endanger my group mates. When I was near enough to see the flag a stalactite just an inch before me cracked and fell down. The time went slow motion for me, it was already impossible to stop the fast plunging of the stalactite. The rock made a thumping sound on the stone floor echoing all throughout the dungeon. Silence fell for a moment, the goblins slowly looked up, and I stopped breathing.

I refuse to surrender and become a victim," I retort defiantly, my voice filled with determination. Once again, I narrowly evade their lunges and swipes. However, while dodging their attacks, my foot stumbles upon a sharp stone, causing a deep gash. Blood begins to flow instantly, staining the ground crimson. "The scent is intoxicating. We've struck gold by finding you," the smaller goblin remarks, its voice dripping with anticipation. I find myself lying on the ground, my injured foot preventing me from standing. I survey my surroundings and realize that I am cornered, trapped by these two monstrous creatures.

Theo stopped, "We're almost there. It's the cave up ahead. Now, remember this is ancient vampire grounds, we must be careful." Lobo scoffed. When I saw the cave a shiver ran down my back. The strange grey rocks held a golden hue to them, almost as if someone had painted them. The entrance was eerie, dark with a slither of bright green vines across the opening, like a thin line of curtain created by nature. "We're not going to explode when we walk in there, are we?" Betty's voice held humor but I could hear the slight tremor of worry in her voice. Theo chuckled lightly, "No, there is nothing to worry about."

The sky grew lighter, and humans would leave their fortress searching for the weapon. Feeling the urgency, the hobgoblin picked up his pace and told the magicians to start tracing the airflow. They were looking for any caves in the area with mining activity. Open caves were too obvious. Dwarves were cautious creatures. They would conceal the caves inside a mountain, but even so, they could not conceal all the unusual airflow that went into tiny cracks. After nearly an hour of investigating unusual airflow in mountain cracks, they found a green and mossy stone slab concealing a rather small entrance. It was smaller than entrances humans made and not tall enough for the hobgoblin to go through
