The five of us were trapped inside a magical net capable of nullifying our powers. “Shit,” Aris said angrily. Suddenly it began to shake, and goblins came out of the ground. They were different from the goblins that helped us in the wasteland; these ones looked smaller. Once they were all below us, one of them began to laugh. I knew right away that he was the leader. “This loot is very powerful,” the goblin said. “I wonder what we can do with them.” The goblins started laughing, and suddenly I saw my mother in the background.

* The sky was a burnt orange when they eventually made their way out of the Goblin tunnel. Germaine was of mixed emotions about leaving. She was happy to go because the continuous feeling of being in an enclosed space was not fun at all. The goblin alighted on a stone structure with gargoyles on it. The place looked like an old prison. What did this goblin have in mind? Sean landed on the top of one of the stone walls. It was a monstrous creature, its grotesque form blending seamlessly with the malevolence of the night. A troll, twice the size of a man, stood before them, its gnarled skin covered in warts and scars. Its eyes glowed with an insidious hunger as it snarled, revealing rows of jagged teeth. The goblins halted their pursuit, cackling with glee at the sight of their newfound ally. Leori's mind raced, searching for a plan, a way to overcome this seemingly insurmountable obstacle.
