Alejandro leaned back against a cushion, his face pale but composed.
“You’re relentless,” I muttered, wiping sweat from my forehead.
“You’re learning,” he replied simply, taking a sip of water.
I shook my head, still catching my breath. “And what about you? You’re supposed to be recovering, not playing Mr. Miyagi on a rooftop.”
His smirk was faint, but it was there. “I recover by doing. Not sitting around.”
I didn’t have the energy to argue, so I let it go. For now.
My phone buzzed on the ground beside me, shattering the momentary peace.
