Iris: The Mafia’s Bride

Iris: The Mafia’s Bride

She signalled to the workers there to give us space, and they stood back. “Come, here are some kinds of jewelry. There are gold jewelries which has eight different shades, there's platinum, gold mixed with palladium, nickel, cadmium, zinc and all. There are diamond jewelries as well, these are made of diamonds which vary in color and size as well. Here, try this on; it's made of 18K rose gold.” Anna explained. We spent the next half an hour trying on different types of jewelries as Anna insisted that it looks good on me.

The Ex-Wife He Never Knew

The Ex-Wife He Never Knew

He smiled, “I can’t wait to see the others either.” I went to the vault, and I asked Daniel to lift a jar of silver for me. He asked, “Can you melt more than one metal at a time?” I nodded, “I can, I just don’t like melting silver and white gold at the same time. They look too similar.” He agreed, “Do you have any yellow or rose gold orders?” I smiled, “Would you grab a jar of rose gold out of there?”

Gold Behind Closed Hands

Gold Behind Closed Hands

"She's my girlfriend." "No, I'm not. We broke up a long time ago." Yael, with a grin, eyed Caleb and could not help but notice the ring he was holding. "An HD ring? I remember at the auction, Mr. Brooks and I were both after the Heart of the Ocean. I knew I couldn't outbid him, but he stopped at three million dollars. Do you prefer this diamond ring?" Yael's words shocked me. Three million dollars for that necklace? Yael sure knew how to waste money.

Using Hala's compact, I glance at my silver necklace, observing the nice shine it has when deflecting light into my eyes as glistening reflections. Mr. Hoyt really has nice silver, and I should find a job so I can go and buy some more silver. He's a good business I want to support. Plus, when it comes to spending money, I've grown up hearing many times that silver, as well as other metals, are very good investments. Especially when it comes to the type of jewelry you purchase. It's got something to do with how the jewelry piece that lasts a great deal of time is treasured, while more delicate and somewhat shattered pieces aren't really interesting for the market to look at.

At least nothing clean enough for my wolf to touch. "Do you have your sacred wedding bands? I didn’t think so. We provide the metal, included in the silver cost." "Is it true gold?" Rowan asks, squinting through the dim light. He sniffs proudly. "Of course. It comes straight from the mountain veins, complete with an elder's mark of authenticity. Now, cross my palm. Cash or high pack-tokens. We do not do financing."

Darkbound Mate

Darkbound Mate

The man glows. His hair is long, golden, and radiant, as if it has absorbed the light of countless stars. It flows with the breeze, shimmering and shifting in the sunlight like something out of a dream. But it’s his eyes that captivate me the most—golden, not amber. Pure gold, glowing with an intensity that feels almost too bright to look at. He doesn’t belong here; he doesn’t belong anywhere I can name. There’s something otherworldly about him, something so achingly familiar that my chest tightens with a strange sense of déjà vu.

The Billion Dollar Wife

The Billion Dollar Wife

They were unmistakable Dior, sculpted, architectural, and devastatingly expensive. One was a bold, unapologetic red that seemed to pulse under the chandelier. Another was a deep, midnight blue that held a quiet, regal beauty. But it was the third gown that caught Ava’s eye and refused to let go. It was gold, a shimmering liquid metal that looked as though it had been poured rather than sewn. It was seductive, echoing the timeless, high-stakes glamour of a bygone era. It was a dress meant for a woman who intended to be noticed, a dress that screamed for a stage.

Blackcrusthatchet ch 15
"In fact, this ring is far from worthless. I can't put a tag on it, but my rough estimate says that this ring is more valuable than 100 grams of pure gold. But that idiot holding onto this... is what makes its value plummet to the ground!" "100 grams of pure gold!" All three guys' jaws dropped, they uttered. "Are you fucking kidding me!" "You know I never joke around money, fellas." Wolf's eyes again stuck on the ring. "This ring is forged from the CZ-alloy, a by-product of nuclear refineries... similar to Plutonium 238."

Still coming along nicely. The Archie plot has hot a good point. I feel there is more to come with Rain in the story and I like that. It is good to acknowledge the news spread of his accomplishments beating down Archie, but I would shorten the side conversations of the random people.

I'm honestly surprised that this story doesn't have more views and reviews. It's well-written, moves at a relaxing pace and the author did an amazing job with the descriptions. The characters has great depth, personalities that stand out. It is also clean and well-edited.

The Dire Girl

The Dire Girl

This was the stillness of a dog that has bitten before and knows it doesn’t need to bark every time. “Well,” he said. “Sleeping Beauty lives.” My mouth was dry enough that speaking hurt a little. “I try not to disappoint.” His eyes stayed on me a second longer than I liked. Then he tilted his head slightly, and the moonlight slipping through the high broken windows caught at his eyes. Gold. Not bright. Not theatrical. Not some glowing fairytale nonsense. Just a faint wrong gleam where human eyes should only have reflected and let go of the light. Here it caught and stayed a fraction too long, dull and predatory, like an ember buried under flesh.

Satisfying Her Darkest Fantasies

Satisfying Her Darkest Fantasies

But he found, as with everything else, if you had enough money, nothing was impossible. He’d chosen bronze because he loved the contrast of the golden metal against Josie’s fair skin and it matched well with the golden streaks in her hair. But the stones, he’d been adamant that they match her eyes. Aquamarines, rarely found on the market, were embedded in the metal, creating a dazzling jeweled choker that would look stunning against her skin and provide a perfect accompaniment to her gorgeous eyes.

As I look at my year in review, this author and book collection has been monumental in reigniting my hunger for reading. I can't track most of the books from this app easily for my year end count but in my heart this book means the most. I wish I could buy a printed version of each of these. .........

Love this well written book! Thoughts & emotions are conveyed beautifully! The author makes you feel like you know the characters intimately w/o being excessive or mundane. Hot & steamy w/o crude vulgarity! I wish we could give gems at the end of chapter but that’s the app, not the author’s fault.
